SavoxSC-0251 High Torque Metal Gear Larger than Standard Digital Servo

Very nice servo. It does a great shop in torque and speed for the price. I've had it in my 1/8th buggy for about 1 1/4 seasons. Actually, it was my entry level servo for getting into offorad rc racing. Since I was new to this, I definitely took plenty of crashes, flips, and more of the like. This servo lasted through all of it my first season. More than I can say for the buggy's body. It is a little taller than the standard servo, but a few spacers solved that and it worked fine. Recently, I managed to get in another crash and my buggy somersaulted and the servo finally stopped working. I'm not exactly sure the reason, but I think some part of the circuit board blew on impact. Though through all this, the servo was great. For the price, compared to the upper level it does what it needs. It seems that there are some bad ones in the bunch, maybe a quality check issue by Savox. I might by another, but its probably time to upgrade if I'm going to continue to race. It seems best suited for 1/10 or 1/8 scale rc items.

If you have room for it, this servo is an excellent upgrade at a reasonable cost. It's not a super fast one,but it is POWERFUL. I had some binding in the steering on my RC10GT that is just a product of the suspension mods, and the Futaba S3004 standard servo struggled to turn the wheels with no weight on them, and eventually stripped the gears. This thing will turn them lock to lock without hesitation, even with pressure applied to the front of the truck!Highly recommended!

This servo seems to be pretty strong, but there are stronger rated servos for the same price. Using it for robotic parts and it has been working fine so far.

I have 4 or 5 of these servos and have always worked well. Unfortunately I just put one in my bomber for u4 racing and it didn't last a three minute heat. I have one in my 1.9 u4 and its working good. That's why I give it a 3 I guess there hit and miss.

Better than the stock servo!

I bought one for the throttle/brake servo for my baja 5b and within 5 mins it quit working, thinking I could've gotten a bad one I sent it back for a replacement. For $40 you'd think it might last a bit longer. Just save your money and buy hitec or futaba because apparently you get what you pay for.UPDATE: 1/22/16The replacement I was sent in return has also failed, as stated above I have it on my baja 5b and I do not run it very often at all because of where I live and it is very loud and I am not rough on my rc vehicles especially ones that cost nearly $2000. So the replacement servo I was sent might have had a total of maybe 30 mins of run time on it before it give up. I had it out at thanksgiving and it was acting funny and I thought it was just out of trim so I turned the baja off and went inside to grab a couple of tools and when I came out I turned the electronics back on and nothing, no movement at all, only make a buzzing sound. As this review is titled don't waste your money or time

Used these to replace all of my Hitecs. With 222 oz/in this is good for large airplanes.
