Spektrum TM1000 DSMX Full-Range Aircraft Telemetry Module

I got this and the DX 9 transmitter to test them for our RC club. This product is very helpful. The battery monitor is worth the cost involved. Also you may want to get the battery connector to fit your set up and not solder the wires yourself. That approach also allows you to move the unit between planes if you don't have a unit for each plane. You will have to bind again but this unit has saved me twice in 3 months now. I have 3 of them on my most expensive planes as the battery management allows me to know the battery is failing or even once that it was discharging very fast as it was worn out. I know this little unit and the DX 9 or DX 7 transmitters will keep you a little safer from failures. Just added altimeter on one of them and it is really cool to know your over 400 feet.

Installed this on my Apprentice and Delta Ray and both work great. It does say NO SENSOR DATA but only when you haven't initialized the gyros by moving the throttle up. Just dissapointed that the RMP sensor didn't come with it.

I have had no issues with the unit. For similar telemetry units, the range is decent. It starts to lose signal around 600 meters in open air - far less than the actual reciever which operates much further. I only use it for voltage for now, but there are several different options for adding GPS data with add-on modules. If you use DJI NAZA, I recommend Any Sense products that get data directly from the PMU through the Can expansion port.

PWM only. Over priced. Proprietary Spektrum crap. Go with Orange RX instead.

This is a useful unit, made obsolete by the new telemetry included receivers.My complaint is that the flight pack battery voltage is not accurate. I have measured the voltage with an accurate multimeter while under load and the TM1000 is off (reads low) by at least .1 volts, enough to make managing LiPos difficult. You have to create a conversion chart from the readout to actual voltage. It's off on all of the three units I've tried.Other brands allow you to calibrate voltage readout. Doesn't seem possible with Spektrum.

works very well. I really like the telemetry. The readout of the battery voltage on the transmitter is very useful.

For the most part it's ok, at about 100 feet it has a hissing sound then starts the beeping sound resumes. It is also a little tricky to bind with a nother receiver.

Ich hab mir das Telemetrie-Modul für einen großen Quadrocopter gekauft. Dabei stand bei mir eigentlich nur die Akku-Überwachung und die Antennen-Ausblendungen im Vordergrund. Drehzahl und Temperatur macht auf Grund der 4 Motoren keinen Sinn.Einbau:Geht sehr schnell und einfach von der Hand. Bei mir läuft das Modul an einem original Spektrum AR600 Empfänger zusammen mit der Spektrum DX8. Mitgeliefertes Kabel mit dem Telemetrie-Modul und dem "Bind-Data-Port" des Empfängers verbinden, Bind-Taste am Telemetriemodul drücken Spannung einschalten und dann die DX8 wie sonst auch binden.Dies klappte bei mir absolut Problemlos. Allerdings haben sich die Entwickler beim Binde-Taster nichts gedacht. Diesen kann man nur mit einem spitzen Bleistift o.ä. drücken. Lustig wirds wenn man dann alleine versucht den Bleistift auf dem Knopf zu halten, danach die Bananenstecker am Lipo einzustecken um mit einer Hand dann die Funke in den Binde-Modus zu bringen. Mir fehlten da irgendwie 2-4 Hände. Hat aber doch noch geklapptFunktion:"Akku-Spannung" "Empfänger-Spannung" "Temperatur"Nachdem ich das Kabel für die Spannungsversorgung am Quadrocopter angeschlossen hatte, habe ich an der DX8 das Telemetrie-Menü aktiviert. Oben links im Display der DX8 gibt es auf dem Standartbildschirm ein neue Symbol, ähnlich der Empfangsanzeige bei Handys. Dieses zeigt an wie gut der Rückkanal des Telemetrie-Moduls an der DX8 ankommt.Der Spannungssensor sowie die Alarme waren schnell eingerichtet. Die Anzeige funktionierte sofort und reagiert auch sehr schnell auf die Änderungen der Akkuspannung. Das Modul überträgt zwei Spannungswerte. Einmal die Empfänger-Spannung und zusätzlich dann die Akku-Spannung. Bei Systemen bei denen der Empfänger über das BEC des Brushless-Reglers versorgt wird ist die Empfängerspannung natürlich meist gleich. Bei Modellen die ihren Empfänger über einen getrennten Akku versorgen aber natürlich ideal!Den Temperatursensor habe ich nur kurz dran gehabt. Dieser ist ein wenig "träger" aber immernoch ausreichend schnell um auch einen Nitro-Motor gut einstellen zu können! Drehzahl konnte ich wegen der Brushless-Motoren nicht ausprobieren.Des weiteren zeigt die DX8 jetzt auch an ob es Antennen-Ausblendungen gab. Also den Verlust einzelner Datenpakete, bis hin zum Verlust eines ganzen Frames und dem damit verbundenen "Hold" (Failsafe-Stellung) des Empfängers. Man kann also wunderbar kontrollieren ob die Antenne vlt an einer schlechten Stelle montiert ist.Ich bin wirklich äußerst zufrieden mit dem Modul! Es gibt einem doch noch etwas mehr Sicherheit. Und man muss nicht mehr nach nem Timer fliegen. Man sieht ja jetzt direkt wie viel in dem Akku noch drin ist. Man sollte seine Akkus aber in etwa kennen um ihm genug Reserve zu lassen bevor er schlagartige einbricht. Den Alarm für die Akku-Spannung kann man aber auch frei einstellen.
