Yes it is real and it is a beautifully detailed wand! It comes with the map that has the spells and where you can use them at in the park.

Q: Do these work at universal studios california?

Based on my reasearch on people who have them, they DO work in both parks. We didn't originally get the interactive ones in our first trip - regretted it so bought one for both of my kids to share - we have 3 total wands and the kids loved it (while we were in the parks) though there are so many stations to do in one trip!

Q: Do these light up like the illuminating wands or no?

This is an interactive wand from the Harry Potter's attraction at Universal Studios. The wand will interact with the attraction at certain points. It comes with a map that shows you where and how to cast the spells.

Q: Do we get the paper which certify that "It is an official replica"?

No. There was no paper that certified it was an official replica, because it is not. This wand is made to be used at Universal Studios attractions, I believe. I didn’t realize this when I ordered it and my son ended up being disappointed because the wand does not have the “weight” of a realistic wand and has a clear plastic tip on the end. I wouldn’t buy this again.
