Will this cable adapter work with my original rocksmith pc cable on a PC?

Im not sure I got it for the Xbox (it should work for pc)

I have an old rocksmith guitar cable but it's missing the pull off usb part that this is. it would fit on the cable, but would it work on the xbox one

My friend who bought this said, "I believe it is, yes.. should work on xbox one and xbox360."
