Good and affordable heart beat monitor
Liked:- More accurate compared to the Fitbit charge 3- Pairs instantly once you get through the initial pairing instructions- Wide range of support for multiple appsDisliked- The pairing instructions should be clearer.- Size might be an issue for smaller frame ladies as it's too small for my wifeBefore we go further, to pair this to any app, you need to make sure you have enable the bluetooth (obviously) AND location on your mobile phone. Then pair it within the app instead of through the bluetooth settings. Oh I am using the Mapmyfitness app.I have been wanting to pick a HR monitor to record my heart beat and calories burnt during various exercises at home. Considering most people are working from home now due to the pandemic, i thought now would be a prefect time to test one.As mentioned above, I do have a fitbit charge 3 but due to the nature of the watch, the accuracy will not be as accurate as this. This is purely because of the placement of the devices. This is further confirmed when I compared the results. Having said that, the difference was only +/- 10 bps so the fitbit is not too shabby. If you only need a basic HR monitor during workout then this is very good value and fit for purpose. Else a watch based activity tracker is also suitable albeit not as accurate. All in all, a good value HR monitor if you have a specific need for one.Price during review: £27.99Please take a second to hit the helpful button as it makes taking the time to write the review worthwhile :)

Does the job
I was after a simple heartrate monitor to link with various apps and this has filled the need quite well, although it did have an initial burst of stubbornness and failed to stay active long enough to be detected by my phone. Most of the time it picks up straight away now, and it does exactly what it is meant to do.I've never owned one of these things before so I have nothing to compare it to. The only thing I could add is mild amusement when I strapped it around my chest and thought of the immortal line "Do we have the machine that goes 'ping'?" - This, I suppose, is the 21st-century equivalent! On occasion, it can be rather obtuse and declare that I have no pulse... repeatedly, but then it will relent as my heart races with restrained frustration and the little unit says "Ah! There it is... don't worry, you are alive."I have sworn at it a couple of times, I will admit, but *most* of the time it does the job it's meant to do quite adequately.

Great little device.
Bought this for the wife, as she wanted one for a new fitness class she had started - her review is below;I usually use a Samsung Galaxy watch for keeping a track of my fitness however it isn't very accurate for fitness classes. I have wanted a heart rate monitor and this seemed to have all the functions I needed so I have had this now for a few weeks and it works perfectly for what I need.It is really easy and comfortable to use. It turns on when it is activated or put against the skin. It makes a noise so you know it is on and then in findable for whatever you need to use it for and pretty much instantly links to my fitness app and monitors my stats for me. Once you are finished and it is away from the skin it turns itself off. The strap has an easy fasten for both the monitor and around the chest.Great little device.

Great value and easy to set up
I ordered this as I didnt trust the wrist heart rate monitor on my Garmin vivoactive 3.I wasn't 100% that this would work but I connected it through my watch very easily and then the watch used it to send data to the garmin app so works very well.To use it I just disable the heart rate monitor on the watch, then as soon as I start an activity it picks up this sensor instead. The monitor itself is very easy to use, just strap on the strap (moisten the contacts first, I have also used vaseline which works fine) and the monitor seems to start up as soon as its connected across the terminals .The strap is stretchy and sits very comfortably (42" chest ) and away you go !Only had it a couple of weeks but used it for 12 runs and have no reason to doubt accuracy or durability. Glad I didnt spend more

Recommended HRM by Cyclist
I've had a few of these CooSpo HRM over the years when I've needed to replace the Polar, Garmin and Wahoo variants. I don't believe it is worth paying the premium prices for the OEM ones. This particular CooSpo HRM is a little more upmarket than others as it beeps twice to indicate it has picked up a good ECG signal and once when it loses the ECG signal. It's able to transmits using both ANT+ and BLE.I can say with this particular one, so far the HR measurements have been accurate and reliable when used with a Wahoo Elemnt Bolt computer connected using Ant+ when out on the road, and the same when connected to a BLE dongle in a PC when training indoors. No dropouts experienced at all.If this is like the other CooSpo HRM I've owned, I have to change the CR2032 battery once or twice a year and they last two or three years before going faulty.*UPDATE 7-Jan-2021*I've already had to replace the battery after a couple of weeks. It may be as simple as the battery supplied was substandard.Recommended.

Fantastic HR monitor
Really happy with this. I usually use a Garmin watch (which I checked against a HR monitor in a medical so know it's accurate) but can't pair that with Zwift now I'm cycling at home so bought this, which is great. It's comfortable; it needs to be fairly tight but once it's on I completely forget I'm wearing it. Once it's on and beeps to say it's working it's been simple to pair through bluetooth and no drops I have noticed. In use it's been pretty similar to the Garmin in read out and I'm happy with that. I've no idea on the battery life but I've been riding regularly for a couple of weeks and it's still going.Comfortable, accurate and simple to use at a good price.
