What a superb piece of kit. Easy to stick to the back of the tv (Philips have a tutorial video on YouTube which is very helpful) and fairly easy (you need to be a tiny bit tech-savvy) to set up. Bear in mind that you must have the Philips Hue Sync Box as well as their Bridge for this to work. Have hooked up some Hue Go lamps around the living room as well for that really immersive feel. The light is nice and bright and easily adjustable via the Hue App. We regularly have it on even if the tv isn’t just to create some cool ambiance. Expensive, but totally worth it. Check out the video to give you an idea of what it looks like.

I have too many Philips Hue lights. This is a must for the TV. I have a smaller one for my PC monitor too, they're just great :)

Bought this with a hue bridge and using with Samsung built in Philips app (don’t need the sync box) as already own a Philips Ambilight TV had for nearly 18 years and missed this feature when upgraded previously to a Samsung 55” in the lounge and moved Philips to another room. Looking at hue kit for a while but now have upgraded the TV with the built in app decided to go for it and very happy with the results as works seamlessly and saves money not having to purchase additional box. Comparing direct to Ambilight TV it would be easy to forget this is not a Philips TV except for having to use the app instead of remote to turn on and off. Worth the investment as previously looked at cheap kits which are no match for this, so glad Philips made this available, quality matches costs. If you are looking for this feature it enhances TV experience and would wholeheartedly recommend investing if you’re not in a position to purchase a Philips TV.

Pros: *incredible range of colours *Very Bright (can control) *works incredibly well with Samsung HUE app on my 2024 OLED TV *solid build quality and easy to install brackets *very VERY sticky brackets for tv Cons: *Very expensive, but you get what you pay for *instructions fail to mention that you don’t follow the size of the TV when installing, instead you have to make the “Loop” smaller on the back of the TV, so don’t put the brackets right near the edges or you’ll run out of light strip before you complete the loop. *setting automations can be annoying to get what you want, for example the strip not freezing on the last colour when ending sync Overall, I would recommend this to dedicated movie and video game fans as it makes everything stand out so much more, I also have the hue bulbs that sync with the the TV light.

I am utterly Blown Away with this product - bought a new LG G5 Tv and this and was so looking forward to seeing the upgrade in the TV but when I plugged in this Lightstrip it completely transformed the experience - it is an absolute must on a large Tv. It’s crazy good!!!!

If your looking at this you know what it does... Tried it with the v1 box but now I use the Samsung app way cheaper.. Looks great and adds to watching moves and the whole room as mood lighting

The lights are great very easy to put up only downside of the product is for the amount you pay the sticky strip doesn’t last for long had mine for 3 days and started to fall

Night and day difference. We aren’t using the HDMI box (ridiculous cost if you ask me) but it’s ambient background is amazing. Previously we had three of the bars attached, but the light is just sensational by comparison. Expensive? Sure, but worth it. If you want to sync to content, I’d just hold out until the HDMI accessory becomes worth what it actually is - which is at least 25% of the RRP!

La inmersión que faltaba en mi salón: Siempre he sido un fanático de la iluminación ambiental, pero la Philips Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip ha llevado mi experiencia de ocio doméstico a un nivel completamente nuevo. Si has soñado con el famoso efecto "Ambilight" de los televisores Philips, pero tienes otra marca de TV, esta tira LED es la respuesta, y francamente, es espectacular. Para que la magia de la sincronización con el contenido de la pantalla ocurra, necesitas dos accesorios clave (se venden por separado): Philips Hue Bridge: El cerebro de todo el sistema Hue.
