This is an absolutely great tool for some specific applications. If you need to cut something and you can’t take the work to a saw stand (for example, the board is attached to your house) this might be your best solution because it is light weight and has great handles for maximum control. Being able to make a controlled plunge cut is also a great attribute of the saw. This probably comes, in part, from the saw blade which is a thin disc with carbide chips fused to it. The curf of the blade is much smaller than blades with individually welded teeth around the perimeter. It also has the ability to cut very close to an adjacent surface, for example a baseboard next to a floor. But be aware that it does not cut flush against an adjacent surface. There is a small clearance of the blade beside the adjacent surface (floor, for example) and there is the curf of the blade. The gap from the cut surface of a board (baseboard, for example) to the adjacent surface (floor, for example) will be the sum of the clearance and curf.Saw cut with this tool are limited to ¾ in depth. So, it won’t be much help for 2 x 4 cuts.Some people have expressed concern about the noise of this saw. I’ve operated many saws over the last half century and this one is quiet in comparison.I bought this saw for a specific application. I need to alter the frame of a door. And the door and frame were already installed in the house and couldn’t be taken out to a more convenient work place. Plunge cutting, cutting straight, and cutting flush (as possible) were all important to me. And this saw met the mark.This saw is packaged with varying combinations of blades and accessories, so examine the different possibilities to see what combination matches your needs.

I have been wanting a tool like this for a LONG time. I finally hit my breaking point when I installed some bead board and wanted to make a shallow cut through the board without taking the board off the wall to do so.This saw is SUPER nice to have for shallow cuts or just odd cuts that you can't get at with anything else. Very easy to use and has some serious power. It is a little loud but that's to be expected for the power this thing puts out. So far everything I have cut with it does so without any issues at all. If you have been looking for a small hand saw, this is the one.

So far I've only used it to cut galvanized steel (like metal studs). And it works really good for that. Clean, precise cuts every time. I've been cutting with angle grinder before, and it was the most dangerous tool I had with very little control and impossible to see cut line clearly unless you get your face into sparks. Dremel solves all of these by having a shoe that guides the cut, comfortable handle positions and spark guard that prevents those tiny fireworks from flying into your face. I'm absolutely loving this tool.

I like this saw for the unique things it is able to do. It is different than most saws and takes a little practice to be able to handle well. I really bought this saw for the flush cut feature. but like that it cuts metal , mortar and ceramics with the proper blades. This is a nice addition to my tool chest.

Handles easily even for a corded tool. Being able to cut flush to the blade side using the offset blade opened a whole variety of new uses. I keep it handy when doing any circular saw cuts, and I bet it does half of what used to be only full sized saw stuff. So useful!

The flush cut blade saved me time cutting though hardwood maple 3/4” floor. I have been replacing maple sections using Dremel’s multi tool, which is fine for end cuts mid floor. But for boards running to the baseboards, this is much faster. The ultra saw works well onshorter boards when ripping the boards being removed to speed up chiseling (I use my larger Skillsaw for longer runs). The blade also worked fine cross cutting sections with multiple adjacent boards to speed up removal).I was uncertain how powerful the ultra saw was for my purpose after reading the reviews. But so far it’s been great. Loud, yes. Gets warm after repeated or long cuts, yes. But this did the trick for me.I have not tried the other blades yet.

His little saw is perfect for small jobs that need some power. Tool reminds me of my 4 1/2” angle grinder in its weight and design. I bought it to cut down plastic drawer organizers, as it lists a plastic cutting blade as an option. It does cut plastic, although I would add a piece of loop adhesive fabric to the bottom of the sole to avoid scratching the workpiece. Oh, and the blade speed melts plastic.

Makes cutting baseboards very easy however keep in mind the "flush" cut is still 1/8" to 1/4" higher than what you are placing the saw on. If you can adjust what you are flush cutting against it won't be an issue. Also it does have placement problems in corners, on one side you will be able to get within an inch or so of the corner, on the other side you will have almost the entire length of the tool remaining and will need to cut with an oscillating tool to finish. Overall does a very good job.

A very good product with lots of accessories. I"m glad that I didn't cheap out and go with a cheaper model since the guard rail is made of plastic but this one is metal. Also its great to have the handle and the various blade options. This tool has tons of applications especially when a smaller more refined cut is necessary!

This tool purchased based on highest amperage rating. Out of the box you can feel the HD nature and quality of the tool. Every job completed with this tool has been great so far. The handling during operation "just feels right" and the on/off control is just were you need it to be. Some may call this unit too heavy but that is due to the HD assembly of same. Yes I would recommend this tool to all needing such a specialty type of tool. Still waiting to use for some specific applications with electrical outlet cutting in plywood and tile cutting. I am sure it will work just great.

La he usado para cambiar algunos mosaicos del baño y de la casa y es excelente, necesite meter tubería en unas paredes para poder ponerle apagadores y la maniobrabilidad que tiene es excelente como todo lo de Bosch quite una alfombra de un cuarto y con ella quite los residuos de pegamento que tenia el piso para poder poner la nueva alfombra, excelente ayuda muy segura, con esta definitivamente no corres riesgos como sucede con los esmeriles, para trabajos semi profesionales es una maravilla, NO ES PARA TRABAJOS INDUSTRIALES, eso hay que tenerlo muy en cuenta! me encantaría que hubiera accesorios para poder conectarla a la aspiradora funciona muy bien pero esto la haría mucho mejor aun de lo que es.
