Yes the case is very protective. The instrument was a great by my daughter loves it.

Is this mello for pros? Or is it just a good quality for beginners.

It is a very good one for beginners to pros and for drum corps use. It is a Chinese made version of the DEG Dynasty. I use it in the Shriners drum corps

Can this one have the other slide inserted to change it to a Bb?

No way. It's built for F. You would have to significantly shorten this to be in Bb. All slides would need to be proportionally chopped to bring partials into pitch as well as the over all tuning length. As a brass tech for 31 years, I can tell you that would not work out.
