Poor Customer Support
Gear shifter has the numbers upside down and backwards. Prodeco customer service rep had multiple excuses:1. Shifter made for right side of handle bar but, the throttle is installed there.2. Prodeco, like auto manufacturers, uses products from many sources to build their bikes.3. The Outlaw bike is a new product line.4. Management is working on a fix. When I asked to be included on the list to receive the fix the "customer service" rep said he would, " make a note of it."The Prodeco web site, until yesterday (Oct 9, '13) stated all Prodeco bikes with 26" wheels come with the two prong kick stand shown under the "accessories" heading. However, when I asked why my 26" wheeled Prodeco Outlaw did not come with a kick stand the customer service rep said their web site was wrong. They have now changed the web site and listed the Outlaw series exclusion. When I asked if they were developing a kick stand for the Outlaw, the "customer service" rep said, "management is thinking about it. So, I have a $2200.00 bike with no kick stand. The "customer service rep" said I should lean it against something???I just received the bike and performed a test ride Sat, Oct 4th. The front brake did not pass the acceptable travel prior to engagement test, per the user manual. After playing 20 questions with the service rep, he finally came forth with the offer for me to get the brakes bled a a local bike shop and Prodeco would pay for it, up to $40.00.According to their web site Prodeco has fewer than six bike shops selling their products nationwide and I am very concerned about future customer support. The customer service rep I spoke with seemed more interested in excusing defects than supporting the customer. This leads me to suspect they may not be in business very long.On the plus side, this is a beautiful bike and, so far, aside from the issues listed, performs as advertised. I would also like to give a shout out to the bike shop I worked through to make my purchase, "Shocking Rides." They were superior to work with.

great fun
currently at 2850 miles on the odometer. when I bought it it neededa tune up right away and subsequent tune ups every spring and fall. I'm starting to wear out some components such as cassette and breakpads. All are easily fixable at any bike store or if you are a pretty savy mechanic you can do it yourself. the seat is hit or miss and with me a total miss but thats an easy fix. i recommend a second battery if you want to do some real exploring, and studded tires if you ride in the winter.
