Does not fit at all. Designed wrong. Used in a prestone shop and am an ASE technician. Was not user error

Cheaply made. Tabs that hold camshaft bent causing the repair to be more work by having to reset timing chain.

This is the tool for replacing timing chains on the GM 3.6 liter V6. You can lock all 4 cams in position while you line up the 3 timing chains with the appropriate marks. Although these aren't absolutely required, for such a difficult and expensive job, and considering the low price, you should just buy this to give yourself confidence you are doing it right. The crankshaft holding tool comes in handy when reinstalling the crankshaft damper bolt. The special socket supplied in the kit, used to rotate the engine as you are hanging the chains, doesn't fit the 3.6, but probably does fit other GM engines

Purchased kit mainly for the flywheel holding tool so the harmonic balancer could be properly torqued after changing the timing chain, but for some inexplicable reason, the kit only includes 1 of the 2 parts needed, even though the product pictures show an illustration depicting the toothed-part of the flywheel holder being bolted to a triangular backing plate... unfortunately this backing plate is not part of the kit.

Works great only thing is that the bolts that hold the tool in place are to long. Had to make spacers to take up the space. About half inch.
