I bought this map as a gift for my son for Christmas. We love to travel and visit the National Parks and plan to make a road trip across the US this summer. So I thought my son would love to track his progress this way. What a clever idea! The map came on time and was packaged in a poster tube, inside a triangular cardboard package. Fun for a kid to open! It was in perfect condition when opened. It includes little stickers you can place to mark events as well as a scratch off tool. Unfortunately, I accidentally threw away those accessories in post-holiday cleanup. I reached out to the company and Imelda offered to replace them free of charge! She was very kind and understanding. Fantastic to work with and very responsive. She even emailed me on a Sunday night to give me a delivery estimate! I would absolutely recommend this product and the company itself.

Really great quality, I went right in with a penny and didn't scratch off anything other than the gold foil. I gave it >24 hours under some textbooks, it's still not completely flat, but it was flat enough to scratch off and then put in a poster frame. Only improvement I would have is to make the printed map under the foil line up; it's not a big deal for the state names to be in different places, but some of the state lines don't line up, so if you scratch off one state and not the next it looks a little goofy. Additionally, there aren't black lines between the great lakes and adjacent states once scratched off. Overall, very glad I went with this choice after reading reviews for some other scratch off maps, was definitely worth a little extra money. Made it the center of a photo wall with some of my favorite pictures from past trips.

unbelievable.thought this was some kind of joke!got big shipping box, opened to find another triangle shipping box, opened to find a carton tube...that was empty!!!!just one side closed with a black plastic cap. nothing inside. no paper, no note, just an empty tube. Seriously wouldnt be so upset if it wasn't my husbands birthday present.placed order with no-rush shipping a week ago. totally ruined tomorrow's surprise for me, that is so unprofessional I can barely wrap my head around it.mad and frustrated.UPDATE: just to be fair, Amazon took responsibility for shipping empty box to me, so it's not fair to blame the seller for it, plus they shipped the replacement map to me right away. So I decided to change the review from 1 star to 4. I like the product, decent quality

My teenager enjoyed seeing all the colors of the states come to life as he scratched off each state.

Loved the map. It is a good size and fun to scratch off and show people where you've been. Would be a nice discussion piece if framed. Took a long time to get it to level out as it came rolled. Have to be gentle with the scratching; if you are too aggressive you can scratch off some of the coloring for the national parks. Each state is a vibrant color. Really enjoyed the time spent marking places I went with my wife.

When I first got the map I was extremely pleased and it was easy to scratch off the states I had previously been to. Fast forward to 9 months later, I went to California, but when I went to scratch it off it was extremely difficult, and all the color underneath came off with the foil. Now it looks absolutely terrible to have one state that is all scratched up and parts of the state color missing. Loved this map until I went to scratch off my new state and it didn't come undone easily. Totally disappointed, my map looks like terrible now so will likely have to take it down :(Edit: They did send me another map for free (thanks customer service!), and it seems to scratch great again upon first scratch. Hopefully it holds up better this time when I need to scratch a new state!

It is a great map for my son as a birthday present as he loves geography and traveling. He had a lot of fun scratching off the states he has been to. I put the map in a poster frame and now it is a very pretty wall decoration in his study room. I am sure this map will follow him as he grows up and moves out of our home to create his own future. One small thing is that it will be even better if the map's size is 18x24 so it can fit perfectly in the standard frame in the market.

No frame , But I think it we'll be fun.
