Actually Works
Seems to distract the reactive dog on her morning walksMeans I need to keep a lookout for triggers, and be ready to jingle the things at the opportune time

Interrupts his train of thought!
Using specifically for highly animated behavior when getting visitors, it does cause him to "check" himself, worth the purchase!

Wonderful tool, if used correctly.
Brilliant product! Wish we had known about these for our older dogs when they were young. We love them so much we have multiple sets around the house for ease of training. One thing I've found is limited information online on how to properly use these discs. A mild shake won't work, nor will terrorizing your dog. I've read a lot of comments online about horrible ways people are attempting to use these. These are not meant to be shaken "at" your dog, or in its ear, nor are they meant to be thrown at your dog etc. Give it a rattle a distance your dog can hear it, but not be afraid of it. It is meant to distract your dog from their negative behaviour. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 shakes, but the dog then relates his negative behaviour towards the slightly irritating sound they hear (thus not associating you as the negative, but rather this annoying sound). The dog then realizes when it repeats this behaviour that slightly annoying sound is heard once again teaching the dog that their action is not desired. These have worked wonders for us and we can highly recommend them. However, as I said be cautious about how you use this tool. It's effective but only when used in the proper way. Do not use to terrorize your dog, do not rattle in their face or throw it at your dog. This is not proper training and will never develop the desired effect. We have a positive relationship with our dogs and hope you have one too.
