ママがインフルエンザにかかって治るまでのFriday位までは、小さい子どもが沢山いたらどうなるか・・・想像以上のバタバタで読んでいても疲れました。Jaqueline Wilsonの作品は、いつもならノンストップで読んでしまいますが、今回は違いました。お話しの中の子ども達に振り回され、読むたびに疲れて、なかなか進みませんでした。子ども達から逃げる様にして読み急ぎ、読み終わったときはほっとしました。・・・つまり、それほど、いきいきと子ども達が描かれていると言うことでしょう。

The mum minder is a fantastic novel about a girl called Sadie. her mum is a childminder though Sadie says she can look after herself easy-peasy. Sadie's mum has got the flu so sadie decides to help her mum by taking over for a week. Sadie has 4 little children to look after but will it be a challange for Sadie or not?My favorite part of this book is when Sadie takes the challange to look after all the little children on her own. And when Sadie is trying so hard to act like a real Childminder she is acting like a little womman.I recommend this book because it is fascinating book for children who like taking responsibillity for young sibllings and need tips on how to look after children and keeps them amused. I bought this for a little girl as she has read every one of these books. Personally, I am not bowled over by it, but we all have very different tastes, and our tastes evolve. As long as the children are reading, then we, the adults, must be happy and need to encourage them to continue to do so.
