A lot of reviews almost turned me away from this hoop as I wanted to put it together and then slowly add weight as needed. I saw people say they could not breakdown the hoop once put together but thankfully, that was not the case. To put the hoop together, it is much like changing the size of a scooter, push the button down and click in place (I have attached a picture of the pieces). To get the hoop apart you must find the the button bump underneath the foam (see pictures), push down HARD on it and pull. It was surprisingly simple. The hardest thing for me was connecting the final pieces, this required the help of someone with actual strength. All in all the thing is super sturdy, hasn’t fallen apart while I’m actively hooping, AND comes with a tailors tape measure to track your waist. Great purchase, may need help putting together if you have any hand mobility issues.

You can add weight to it (beans of something) but it’s lightly weighted already! A little had to assemble but I’ve enjoyed it :)

My daughter has been bugging me for a weighted hula hoop. I didn't want to get one of the trendy ones as she wants it to look more like a hula hoop. This was not easy to put together as the inserts did not easily go together and my hubby ended up cutting his hand on the metal. But once it was together it seems to work fine.

Easy to assemble and disassemble.But, WAY TOO LIGHT without adding some sort of weight.

The media could not be loaded. Absolutely trash. The pop out “connectors” that connect the pieces together caused bruising all over my stomach and back after less than 10 minutes of use. Imagine the pop outs on crutches covered by a cheap piece of foam.

Much better than plastic 4lb hoop. Went through a couple of those because the connections points would flex and snap when going fast. I filled this with dry navy beans and full it wieghs 4.5lbs. Feels much more sturdy and has no flex while in use compared to plastic hoops ive used. Confident this will hold up, may get another and fill with something a bit more dense and see if it will handle 6lbs or more.

I’m and older female, 5’2” 125 lbs & pretty good shape & this size was great for me. I weight train & run but wanted to add some variety. I assembled it myself & admit the last section takes a bit of strength to get it to click I place. I can’t remember the last time I hula hooped but I got it going on the first try! I threw on some headphones & music & after about 20 minutes I was sweating but it was so much fun. I did not put extra weight in it & not sure if I ever will, so far 2 lbs is good for me. I would keep it on the waist, I let it drop to my hips & got a little bruising on my hip bone area. I’m so glad I got it & recommend it.

It's like my favorite hoop. The colors are just beautiful. The weight is so comforting and challenging. You can unlatch it and keep it in the bag it comes with for travel. Just love it<3
