Cleans tip nicely and doesn't cool tip down like a damp sponge.

Works great. Good quality material. Does what is should while soldering.

Love this for cleaning the tip of my soldering iron, much preferred over a wet sponge. The base might be a little light, but it is still very usable. It's a good size and I can't imagine I will need to replace it in the next few years. I do light hobby soldering, maybe one project each month. Speeds up cleaning the tip for sure.

Works well. Cup could be designed better

This thing is a life-changer! I was even able to partially revive an old iron with it. To think for many years I was just using the sponge... what a waste! Now my new pinecil will be maintained much better than anything I've ever had in the past. If there was any kind of suggestion it would be to increase the mass on the bottom even more, the thing did move around a lot until I decided to drill it into a block of wood as shown in the picture. The bottom has like a 1/16" metal plate, and the surround is like a flexible rubberish material. When I pulled out the wad of gold strings it actually contained more than I thought it would, and it is stuffed to the brim in there with that material. Overall pleased.

Works extremely well and quickly to clean soldering tips. Definite must have.

The silicone holder grips your work surface and doesn't slide around when you clean your iron. The included brass cleaner works well to remove solder from the tip. The opening is large enough to let you get the iron into the brass without hunting for it. Silicone has high heat resistance and takes contact with a hot tip without melting.
