Love it with flaws
Ok to start with I do love this pen holder, but it does have its flaws which would be really easy to fix from a manufacturer stand point. First the good the material and craftsman are excellent the red stitching against the black leather looks Sophisticated and the idea of the pen holder is great. However like other reviewers have pointed out the elastic band on the back that wraps around the front cover is to tight and bows the cover upwards. I use a Rhodia web book notebook. I also use a Code & Quill notebook and it fits perfectly although the Code &Quill is smaller then the Rhodia. The other problem is that if you use bigger pens the double pocket becomes extremely tight (I have 2 Lamy Al stars in mine) and its hard to remove my pens however if you use thinner pens they will fit perfectly. All the manufacturer would have to do is make the elastic a little loser in the back and the pocket a tad bit bigger and they would have a 5 star product.so you are probably wondering why I gave it 4 stars it’s because I do Appreciate the craftsmanship And quality of the penholder and I do use it everyday. What I did was put a piece of wood in the middle of the elastic strap and just carry it like a pen case because it makes Carrying 2 pens a lot easier then just Jamming them in my pocket

Awesome solution to the age-old problem
Just purchased a second quiver as a spare (already own the red-stitched version) and cannot be happier. Paired with a Rhodia web notebook, these things look absolutely stunning. Way better than the stock photos on this item show. Fit and finish is absolutely top notch, very snug and secure but not to the point where it would damage the notebook. Still, this thing isn't slipping off, that's for sure, nor are your pens or pencils falling out of it without a lot of work. Stitching is very nicely done, threading is clean and straight and everything looks very well designed and implemented. I am not ashamed to show this baby off, in fact I'm looking forward to it.Rather than gimmicky, this thing is flat out awesome and makes my journal much more versatile. Normally I have a pencil case (or two) filled with a variety of pencils and pens, erasers, lead, and so on, which I end up trucking with me (at least in part) whenever I'm in the mood for writing. That's all fine and well if you're at home or the office and have the main "bag" with you (in my case, a messenger style laptop bag) but you don't always want to take the kitchen sink everywhere just to be able to write on-site. Furthermore, nobody likes to carry a pencil or pen in the same hand as the journal and it's just goofy to take up both hands going from point A to point B. With the Quiver, however, I can now grab one or two pens/pencils that I'll need, toss them into the sleeve and off I go, journal in hand. Simple, easy, clean, stylish and 1000x more awesome than using a pocket protector to truck my writing implements around. As I hinted in my other review, this purchase was to obtain a spare quiver in case something happened to the other one. They're awesome enough that I don't want to run the risk of never being able to replace it in the future. Are they cheap? Heck no, not at all. Worth it? Absolutely.

Useful, well-crafted and worth it
The price made me a bit hesitant to purchase, but I eventually did as this seemed like the best solution for keeping a pen with my notebook. After just a couple days with the quiver, it has already demonstrated its value. The back of the quiver features a section of elastic band that allows it to stretch in getting in on or off of a notebook cover. The elastic seems pretty thick and isn't something I'd worry about stretching out much over time unless you're taking it on and off an excessive amount. Once in place, the quiver stays put on the cover of my large Moleskine notebook. I've put a pen and mechanical pencil in the pouch—they fit snuggly but are still easy to take out when I need them. Even though the writing instruments both have rubber grips on them, both slide in and out easily on the leather. I can already tell that the clips of the pen and pencil with mark the leather, but I fully expect and hope any leather product I buy will age gracefully and pick up some character. The stitching seems very well done and, while I haven't put it through months of abuse yet, I can tell that this quiver will travel to many more notebooks once the current one is full and settles down into retirement on a shelf. While the quiver obviously protrudes from the notebook, it doesn't seem to get in the way or catch on anything as it goes in and out of my bag throughout the day.The only slight annoyance (very slight, really) is that it creates an uneven surface when writing on the left-hand pages, most noticeably near the beginning of the notebook when not many pages lie between your pen and the front cover. If the idea of this bothers you, the single quiver that places the pen on the spine of the notebook may help alleviate the issue—I can't attest to this, though.

Very nice product.
Perfect. My husband was delighted. He is a confirmed moleskine aficionado and a difficult man to buy presents for, but this did the trick. It's simple but nicely made and fits well on the moleskine. Actually I bought the size that should fit vertically on a smaller (A5ish) notebook, but he prefers to use it on his larger (A4ish) moleskine horizontally, which holds the notebook shut. Really nice product. Fits two Cross pens snugly side by side without rubbing unduly against one another.

Great little gift
Bought as a present and the recipient loves it. It makes a simple moleskin book look like a very much more expensive item and can be slipped onto new books as needed. I'm also sure that being leather it will wear to a lovely patina with time.

Great product
Great product, thought it was a little on the expensive side, but seeing the quality and design, that shows, in the product, I'm now happy with the price. Fits any A5 size notebook due to elastic straps and takes a big diameter pen. Would recommend it.

Nice looking holder for my Moleskine
This holds a couple of pens against my Moleskine pads that I always use. Looks great and keeps me organised! Having had this for over 2 years it has lasted very well and still looks great.

Works well - but couple of points - (1) Make sure that the fit is tight - i had a rotring 600 and another pen in it and the rotring fell out when i was walking with the book (2) The leather wraps over the cover. When you open up the notebook flat to write - the left page will cover the leather and this creates an uneven surface as the thickenss of the leather creates bumps on the left page and make it hard to write
