Yes its a good idea to replace the paste on there as you will go that deep to remove it

Is it possible to use 2 different types of shells that extrerate makes for example one for the front plate, and one for the back plate

Yes you should be able to use two different color shells. Mare sure the shells are for the nintendo switch lite since the regular switch doesn't use a plastic shell it uses a metal one. Let's say you get a shell for the lite that is red and get a other shell blue for a lite you can use the front shell red and for the back you can use a blue back shell just make sure both of the shells are for a nintendo switch lite
