Excellent machine.
I finally had to replace my 25 + yo Cuisinart food processor due to the bowl wearing out. A replacement bowl was not available. The new one does not disappoint! Works great. Super strong motor.

Quiet, simply excellent
We replaced our old old DLC-2011* with this model. So many improvements, where to begin? - It's so quiet. Making mayonnaise is a frequent event at our house and this is a pleasure. No more teeth-gritting. -The simple lid without the chute IS A DREAM TO CLEAN -The old model collected a lot of water in the chambers that held the safety mechanism, and the handle. Eventually, this developed mildew (honestly we should've replaced it a long time ago for this reason). This model seems like it will not have this problem. -The safety is a little tight (locking the bowl and getting the lid to activate the safety), this might improve with use. -No dough blade, but then, we never really used that thing. -The chute construction is a little baffling. There's flexible plastic clippy type thing, clear sliding parts, a black pusher. I've yet to use it. It seems okay, and as above with the mildew problem of the old model, seems like it will dry out completely. -Paddle operation is nice. The old model had the plastic covering over buttons which were wearing out and breaking. The paddles will wipe clean, and offer very efficient control (no more button mashing, especially when pulsing). -The cord keeper! Oh, this is a dream. A little strappy thing that means no more winding the cord around the unit to keep it from dangling off the prep table. This is better than a retractable cord that could malfunction. In summary: Well done, product engineers. Honestly, I considered one of those other units that does all the things like spiralizing etc. but this Cuisinart is a trusty workhorse. It's simply well designed, it does what it does perfectly, and our $20 hand-spiralizer works just fine.

Awesome Machine!
We needed a new food processor to replace our broken down on. This unit does not disappoint. First thing I noticed when unpacking the machine is its weight. It feels super sturdy and stable. The second thing I noticed is how little noise the machine makes during use. Our old processor was a beast of a machine and sounded like one. This Cuisinart is scary quiet. Even scarier (in a good way) is how easily it cuts through everything. I know the blades are new and, therefore, still extremely sharp, but this unit feels like it will continue to process food easily for years to come before needed a blade replacement. The footprint it takes up on the counter top is very small (surface area smaller than a piece of 8x11 paper). Vertically, it can be a bit tall when using the large feeder top, but it doesn't make it unsightly. It comes with a standard blade, two discs for slicing (thick and thin) and one disc for shredding. We made sangria for Thanksgiving, and slicing the pears and apples was breeze using this processor. I haven't used the shredding disc yet, but I have no doubt it will make easy work of cheese, potatoes, carrots, etc. There is one thing I would highly recommend, and that is the storage container for the blade and discs. For three reasons: 1) First and foremost safety. These blades are super sharp, and the last thing you want is to slice your finger reaching for them. 2) The container will protect your blades from getting nicked. 3) All your blades and discs will be in one easy to find location. We are looking forward to using this unit more often, and hope it is as durable as we expect it to be.

Good quality, very sturdy machine that works well, but has a lot of parts to keep track of
This is a sturdy machine that's working well for our large family. We used it this week to make coleslaw and also to make shred up some potatoes and onions for latkes. It works quickly and concisely once in use, but it really is a lot to get started with and set up. It's a very long-term, well-built machine, but it's also very heavy. Heavy can be good for a quality motor, but it's a bit cumbersome to move about and store in the kitchen. I love the larger size jar for 11 cups, although we still fill it faster than we expect to. It's a big upgrade over our former 6-cup processor though, so we are pleased. Not the easiest to clean, but can go in the dishwasher, which is a help. I do just wish it didn't have quite so many moving parts! At least the operational buttons are straightforward and simple. I have found disappointment when shredding onions - it's very normal for them to leave long, thick skins that aren't shreded.

Great machine!
Bought this for my daughter and we did a three hour lesson together with her spouse as they had never used a food processor before. This is such a great one! Many improvements from my 20 year old Cuisinart. They last forever. Heavy duty workhorse with great updates.

Beware of Cuisinart!
Having just purchased this food processor, I expected the best from Cuisinart! (silly me!). The flat lid arrived with a sticker glued onto it which wouldn't come off. I used a razor blade scraper, and after much effort I was able to remove the paper part of the sticker, but not the glue. After trying to remove it for 10 min. I finally decided to call the company. They obviously don't want to talk to customers because the customer care phone number is hidden in the product manual after the recipes. When I called them, the rep. had no idea how to solve the problem, but I was told later to rub the glue with a cloth and vegetable oil. Is that standard advice? I know it's a "little" thing, but Really!! All of the other stickers and notices were put on in a way that came right off. Why the difference with only one? And why the DIY answer to solve the problem? I expect a new product to be user-ready right out of the box. I guess I was wrong! This is the last Cuisinart product I will buy, not because the product doesn't work, but because they show no interest in providing a hassle-free product nor vigorous customer care. What if I had a serious problem? .............
