Boiling H20 measures @ 107^C
I was worried if this would work in the shallow depths of liquids I'll typically be measuring (for confectionery R&D - sometimes barely more than .5" deep). It actually seems to work best when just the 'bulb' is in the liquid. But boiling water measured right up to 107^C. That's a pretty heavy amount margin of error. I tried to take pics but the camera kept steaming up.I'm going to see if I can get it to do the job by testing caramelizing sugar (it starts to brown right at 160^C). One after the other thermometer hasn't worked for me - so hopefully this one will swim eventually at some level of accuracy.I'll update my review

Not worth the price.
Bought two, 150C and 250C. Both are garbage. Checked the calibration at 0 and 100 deg C. The 150C was off by -2 and +3 respectively, and the 250C was ok at 0, but +5 at 100C. Size-wise as described. Feels a little cheapo, but would be perfectly fine if not being off.

Works great
Although I was worried it would arrive broken, as other customers have experienced, mine arrived ok and works great. Verified the accuracy of the temp readout and it is within 1° of my temp probe. I will say though it’s not packaged too well, I think I got lucky with it not breaking in shipment.

LIES!!! NO GROUND JOINT!!!
I really needed a thermometer with a 10/30 ground joint and was excited to have finally found one. But when I received it there was no ground joint which not only makes it useless to me but also makes it overpriced in my opinion.
