Can you go in and out of the gate? I do not see an opening.

How high are the bottom parts (my husband says "bumpers") that grip the wall?? We have wooden molding going around our floor and it is 3 & 1/2" high.

Is there replacement bumper pads for this baby gate?

I have a 50 inch opening I want to gate off. The description says it fits up to a 50 inch opening. Has anyone tried it on the max width?
