Good and simple
I have a lot of cookbooks but this one is one of the best, good and simple recipes, like Spring Chicken with Asparagus, Five Herb Baked Tomatoes and for dessert try the Countryside Cherry Clafoutis!!! There are many more I can't wait to try! Going to buy another one for a gift.

Parisian markets explained by a Paris market afficianado
What a beautiful love letter to the Paris markets! I love how each seasonal chapter begins with the introduction of the marchés in various arrondissements and a "spotlight" or two on local food-related "good-to-know"s (for lack of a better description). Despite living in Paris for 10 years, I am still somewhat intimidated by the markets and through her book (and her blog), Emily is helping me change my perspective. The recipes are clear and concise, as well as easy to follow. And the pictures are beautiful! I can't wait to cook my way through this book throughout the year!

This is a gem of a cookbook. And not your average cookbook either. I've discovered markets in Paris that I never knew existed and I've been living here for over 15 years!! The recipes are healthy and delicious and I've used it to cook with my girls aged 4 and 8. I would highly recommend it. So good I bought another copy for a friend, a great gift for expats in Paris or visitors to Paris...

Great combination of recipes and market info
I love this book! Emily is a real insider to the Paris markets and she gives so many great tips and shares so much valuable insider info that is difficult to find. Definitely taking this with me on my next trip to Paris. PLUS she shares so many recipes and ways to use fresh produce (even if you just buy it at the grocery store at home in the US like me, ha!) These are French dishes but in a home cooked, simple way. Never overly busy or complicated so I don't get overwhelmed. Love it!
