great subwoofer box carpet
nice and thick carpet, it is see through if you hold it up to the light and it is a little inconsistent in thickness if you look at it in the light. You can apply this to a white box and still not see the box through it, so its plenty thick enough for my use. it is nice and stretchy carpet, you can stretch it about 25% more while keeping a non-see through layer.

very nice and thick
ive never carpeted anything and i did my subwoofer box and it worked great it looks really good, the carpet is nicer and thicker then a prebuilt box i have from a shop down the street from me i put the seam on the bottom like the prebuilt box and the prebuilt the seams eventually rolled over cause i actually use my trunk/cargo area i have a wagon so i push and slide it out of the way if i need to that why my old box the seam was rolling on the bottom, i used gorilla glue spray glue and it looks so nice and i havent had any part of the carpet coming off im going to use the rest of the carpet to carpet my amp rack, more like just a piece of MDF cut to fit above my spare tire. if my brother wants to build his own box for his car im going to get more of this carpet i was thinking of carpeting my whole cargo area carpet with this

Very decent for the price
I needed some box carpet for a custom mounting surface for power system stuff in my RV. I have an extensive background in Automotive Audio installation, so I have worked with several qualities of Box Carpet. I wanted the panel to look like a factory installed component, and this box carpet was of good quality. The idea here was that it would almost disappear behind the components, where as an unfinished panel would be distracting and not look as clean. There are nicer options out there, and price sometimes reflects that. But for many applications this would be a very good option for a very reasonable price. I would use this material again.

This isn't intended for floors
If your looking to put carpet in a car and want it to look original you don't want this carpet it's not the loop style but if ur looking for back dash lower door panel or dash cover this would be great the photos are hard to tell and has enough good reviews I bought it for flooring and not the same

Best... this is the one you're looking for!
If you're looking for the closest thing to OEM carpeting, this is the one you're looking for. I've been installing mobile electronics and making custom speaker enclosures for 31 years and this "auto carpet" is actually the closest thing to actual automobile carpet I've had the pleasure of working with that didn't cost an outrageous amount of money. My experience with it was similar to other reviews, it bends/stretches and wraps corners with ease, 3M Super 77 spray adhesive works great for adhesion, and you get 5 YARDS OF MATERIAL! Highly recommend, and will definitely be buying again myself.

Black, not off black or GM Ebony
The carpet is black. If you need off-black like most GM trunk or rear hatch carpets this will not be an exact match. The carpet does form well and stretches and cuts easily. It is a little thin so beware over time it may not hold up well in a well-used area.

Excellent Material
I’ve been installing systems since the 90’s and this is one of the better materials I’ve used to wrap an enclosure. Don’t let stick to itself once you have spray glue on it and be sure it’s where you want it once applied. If you pull it up, it can develop stretched out wrinkles that are hard to get out. The plus side to that is that this material will stretch enough to wrap difficult corners with ease. It may be kinda see through when holding it up to the light but that is a non issue once it’s on the box. For fine edging around the port or speaker holes, you can use a soldering iron, after it’s been cut. I used 3M 99 spray adhesive. It’s an excellent material and I will buy it again. The pictures speak for themselves

perfect for the drag car
this stuff worked very well and looks very nice for my drag bracket car, was delivered very quick and a fair price and there is even enough extra so when it get dirty or worn out I can just cut out another, very good for flat floor in drag cars that have tube chassis with a flat floor

This carpet has really good strength against stretching, works great with 3M Super 77 spray glue as it doesn't deep through. Used for a van build and the ease of install was really handy. It does have 2 different sides, so beware that one side looks great and the other is meant to be glued.

I bought this to cover the cabinets of my expedition van and this stuff has been really good. It is thin so you might want to consider doubling up the coverage, but is flexible enough to avoid folds and adhere to the surface nicely. I am gonna buy more just to have it in the garage in case I need it. Good price, as well, for what you get!

Spoiler alert... It shows up in a pillow shaped package rather than a roll. I'm not sure why I found that amusing but ... On to the review. I can't say more good things about this product. I feel however it is important to note that you are using this stuff for what it was intended for. Light use, light traffic area. I would never use it to redo carpet in the main area of a vehicle. I can see it wearing through quite quickly. What i used it for was some of the walls in my camper and it turned out great. It's very easy to use and shape into whatever your trying to cover. Cut, little spray glue, done. There's no rubber backing on this product which again, makes it easy to shape. I can see a lot of potential for places like speaker boxes, door panels, dashboards ect. Update Feb 2019 Since this original review, I purchased 3 more rolls to build out a conversion camper van to use summer 2018. I used the carpet for walls, door panels and a headliner. This stuff worked great. It held up all summer long. No weird lumps or bumps developed despite being leaned on, sat against, ect. My only complaint is the headliner did sag in the +35C heat. But that's not the carpets fault. The glue ended up separating under the heat. Will find a better glue for next summers use.

Not useable for automotive carpet. Could maybe use for speaker boxes. Sent it back.
