Good continuation
When book 2 ended with such a cliffhanger, I couldnβt wait to start book 3. And while the development of the story in book 3 is really interesting, I had trouble keeping up with some of the twists and turns involving the castles history. The two wizards that are met still confuse me. I still recommend this book, but you might have to read it twice like I plan on doing. Iβm hoping that will help with the confusion.

This one starts intensely and is so rewarding!
I love all these books! But this one kept me on my toes as i eagerly devoured the pages. I don't think i even saw the words. I was so involved in the story and it's events that it ran through my mind like a movie. Celie, her siblings, and her friends have never had an adventure quite like this one, but they solved a centuries old mystery, helped to bring back the rest of Castle Glower, and rescued magnificent griffins! This book is a continuation of book two and begins in a foreign world that the Castle sent them to so they could find the other half of the eye of the Castle that was hidden somewhere in the Glorious Arkower, and so Celie and those with her could learn more about the Castle's history and their ties with the griffins. It's a great story!! I hope you love it as much as i do!

New family obsession!
I bought the first book on a whim through a $5 Audible sale, unsure if we would like it or not. It was a hit! Now, within seconds of finishing each book, my kids are loudly demanding to know, "Did you buy the next one yet?!?!" Even the teenager loves these stories. My husband, my in-laws, everyone who hears a bit while we're listening or reading, ends up wanting to hear more!

Can't Wait for Fridays!
I enjoyed Tuesdays at the Castle and Wednesdays in the Tower. As soon as I finished Thursdays with the Crown, I looked for a Fridays... followup (not listed yet). The series has an original idea for a plot. The castle moves between its former location and the current one, depending on what is needed--until trouble brews and the castle feels threatened. The castle isn't quite a character in the story, since its actions are a little too subtle and underplayed, but it certainly adds a delightful twist to the lives of the royal children who live in it. They find griffins and griffin eggs in the castle's former location. No one believed griffins were real, and certainly not alive in their lifetime. Celie discovers taking care of a toddler griffin is a full-time job, especially because the castle takes measures to prevent her from telling her family about him. Keeping him secret makes for some funny high jinks--until others get their own griffins. This book ends with the possibility of visiting another realm and having more adventures.

This is the third book in the Castle Glower Series - Thursdays with the Crown
This is the third book in the Castle Glower series by Jessica Day George. The book is continues on with adventures of the Glower children in their magic castle. The castle is acting in a most curious way. An experienced wizard is summoned, but different wizard shows up. The castle ends up transporting three of the glower children and a couple of friends to a different word. The castle is in trouble to say the least, and the new wizard has a few secrets he is keeping from the Glower family. This is a fantastic fantasy and I would recommend it to young and old alike. Now on to the fourth book (Fridays with the Wizards).

Book 3 redeems the Castle Glower series.
Having been left hanging with quite a large cliffhanger in book two ("Wednesdays in the Tower"), where you felt like the author left out part of the book, "Thursdays with the Crown" was a pleasant surprise. Fast paced and well written, I couldn't put this one down. While the ending does suggest another book is coming, it doesn't leave you feeling like you are missing a chapter or two. The story line is wrapped up and finished at the end. I also feel that the book is being written a little more maturely than perhaps the first two were as well, which is nice. (And by mature, I'm not talking subject matter, but more word choice.)If you've read the second book and are hesitating before reading this one, don't. Read away and enjoy!

Third in the series, and still enjoying this
a great third book in the Glower series. Didn't have much of the castle in this one, as Celie, her siblings, and Lulath and Pogue have travelled to the 'Glorious Arkower". I liked the history of the Arkish and the Hathelockes, but I feel a lot of things were skimmed in this book - I know this is aimed at kids but the other two in the series have that much detail in them that anyone can get immersed in them. This one did seem a little rushed, in that I didnt really see why Delilah chose one of her suitors over the other, I would liked to have read more about the Griffins and Rufus' reunion with his dad, and a little more about how the griffins live, more on the history of the Arkwright, Arkower and Royal Wizard, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it, and I know younger readers would adore this. I would love to read more in the series! Maybe an adventure in Grath next?If you like this series of books by Jessica Day George - try reading other books she has written - her book 'sun moon ice and snow' is what made me read her other books. You would also like books by Shannon Hale.
