I don't see why not. It's a standard size needle. If you use other regular needles you should be fine.

Q: Has anyone tried them in your babylock Solaris they will only slide up so far and are so tight I can't slide them all the way up?

These needles fit machines that use system 130/705 needles Consult your owner's manual and if it specifies that needle system, these would be a good fit. They are very strong.

Q: How does anyone break a needle when machine quilting?

If you are moving the fabric too fast when quilting, and the needle hits the side of the foot, it can break the needle.
