Berkley Gulp! Shrimp Saltwater Fishing Soft Bait

I stopped feeding the fish live shrimp. This is my go to when the water is cloudy-but works when clear also. Put them on a jig head, 1/4 to 3/8 ounce, and bounce them across the bottom. Fish caught so far: black drum, snook, Reds, Jacks, Sp. Mackerel, lady fish, stripers. these are more $ then most artificial shrimp, but they are more durable. when water is clearer I go to Pearl White Chartruese.

This is a number one bait on the gulf coast.

Much better than buying those less expensive real shrimp at the market. Doesn't scream when you poke it with a hook. Sautee' these in a bit of butter and garlic, splash of wine and works perfectly as a side dish when you don't catch any reds. Almost durable unless you fish with them. Feels great in your pocket but tucks perfectly behind your ear, even in heavy fog. Highly recommended and awesomely expensive!

People rave about these but haven’t caught a single fish on one. They hook easily and the package keeps them fresh. I’ve used them on jig heads and regular circle hooks. They dry out if you leave them on the hook. I’ll keep trying

Like other Gupl lures, I had pieces bitten off: the head, the tail. Seems everything in the ocean likes these. Had a tern follow my cast and get himself tangled in the line. I thought I had caught a bird but fortunately when I got him reeled to the shore he was able to free himself. Not sure if that counts as a catch

I was using this color in Cedar Key, FL and caught more fish than my fishing buddy who was using live shrimp, and eventually switched to using the gulp. Fished on a 3/8oz jig head over turtle grass.

Same as the fishing store except they seem really soft. I've had 15 inch trout rip them apart on the first strike.
