SliceSlim Pen Cutter, 1 Pack, Manual Blade Stays in Position

I’ve been using this pen cutter for about 3 weeks. First, I’ll talk about its safety features. The pen cutter description was not lying at all about being safe. I tried dragging the blade against my hand and nothing happened. Second, does the pen cutter work? Yes, it works really well! I cut open multiple types of packagings, ranging from taped boxes to padded envelops. This pen cutter was able to open every single one of them with ease. I actually feel that the pen cutter works better than my old box cutter. The blade feels more stable as it doesn’t wobble like my old box cutter. I’ve read some comments by others that it’s difficult to open a box by slicing from the middle of a box. Those comments said you need to slice the pen cutter from one edge of the box to the other edge because of the blade’s blunt tip. I didn’t find this to be true at all. I’ve been able to open boxes from any starting location. Is there something I’d like to change with this pen cutter? I think the slide button could be better. I noticed that you have to push the back portion of the slider button to move the blade (the slider button is long, so the front portion would be near the blade tip and the back portion would be near the opposite side of the blade tip). If you press the front portion of the slider button, it doesn’t seem to move the blade. Maybe this is another safety feature? I don’t know. But I regularly try to move the slider button by pressing the front portion and fail. Overall, I highly recommend this pen cutter. I was very skeptical about its features, but I am blown away by the safety features and the blade’s function.

I use it for detail work in my colored pencil drawings

Nice little cutter. Lightweight, easy to slip in and out of a pocket. I have not cut myself once in a year of use. The blade is slightly chipped in places now, but still cuts fine. I bought it to help allieviate my wrist pain from using dull metal work blades. This is definitely easier on my wrist. If I lose it, I will buy another.

My main reason for purchasing the slice was to use in colored pencil work. I am not disappointed. Creates the illusion of fur with fine lines through the layers of colored pencil. Highly recommend.

It’s really safer compared to my usual metal box opener however also less sharp.Personally I like the safety feature however be prepared to push harder or double the number of repeated cuts. I now use it as my standard however I keep the old one nearby. It is more expansive for sure.

I barely got through one blade the the open/close mechanism is broken. Most of the time to get it to work I have to take the top off where you change the blade. Disappointing that a major selling point of this is that it lasts a lot longer than a traditional box knife. Well the blade certainly do, but the cutter itself does not.

I love how light this is! I'm a retail stocker and I bought this for work and it's perfect. I can cut throw just about anything, it even leaves marks on metal! I'm sure given enough time and effort it could cut through thin metal.

I had used a pair of scissors to open boxes for years and got tired of feeling like the scissors were going to slip and stab me! I saw this on QVC a few years ago and made a mental note that Amazon had these if I ever decided to get one. Feel very secure and no more worries about the scissors slipping and my getting jabbed.

Love this, it’s great for fine art detail and doesn’t cut the paper

カッターナイフの代用を探して購入　安全性を考えれば多少の難は仕方ないかな　刃がもう少し長いとカッターナイフの置き換え出来るが…開梱など用途が合えば十分使える

I purchased the Manual Slim Pen Cutter for my artwork, to remove marks on the paper and not for cutting. It works great!! See the above close up of the eye and where I have used the cutter to get those white lines on the pupil and iris. Would recommend adding this to your art tools.
