Great puzzle, might need initial tweek
Great item! Wonderful quality and detail! The pieces that compose the school are stiff yet pliable they are a type of vinyl and since they probably were never ever assembled before as a skull when they were 1st made, you might have a bit of a time trying to initially get the skull together as you want to make sure that the tabs line up with the slots Before you press them together. The entire school is held together by just pressure fit and the fact that the vinyl pieces kind of grab onto each other however it's very easy for atab to just kind of go in the wrong direction in not make it into the slot at 1st so you just want to make sure the tabs or spacing the right direction before you press the pieces together. And my recommendation Is that once you have it as a school in all the pieces are in fact that you leave it as one for at least a couple of days and even go over they completely in tact model with a hair dryer (don't make it so hot you can't hold it, just a bit warm) So that the pieces are pliable and make sure they all fit together. Then after you leave it as an intact skull for at least 2 days, next time you take it apart the pieces are already more or less trained to all point in the right direction and fit together more soundly and easily. As usual with Intricate vinyl pieces such as this, results may vary however for the price especially and for a great looking and result tele this piece is worth buying if not as a learning tool then as a great little puzzle and keepsake. The school actually looks a lot more proportionate and Accurate than even the picture implies.

Great Shelf Ornament, Puzzle and Reference!
This is such a cool thing. It was bigger than I was picturing (still smaller that an actual skull), which is great. It was tons of fun to put together; I challenged myself to not look at the directions and just used the picture on the font of the box. I would say it took me about ten to twenty minutes. I bought this with the intention to use as a reference for drawing. I want to get better at drawing the head at different angels and it's working like a charm. I am even thinking about making some kind of mount to mimic the neck so I can get some even more dynamic poses. Not to mention it looks really cool. It's painted to look old and piratey.

Decent quality
It's a good learning tool, depending on your needs. It's hard to put together, the suture lines don't really like up or connect like they should. Mandible squeaks and moves anytime the skull is moved (ie not stable). Is missing a few details and atomical structures, not everything comes apart or connects like it should. Compared to other skulls of the same sort, it is a little bit lesser of quality. If your learning cranial work though, the rubber is nice because you can see how the bones of the skull move and you can see how the techniques work on the skull. That is if the whole thing doesn't fall apart while you're trying the hand positions and seeing how you can affect the skull. Although for children and basic learning of the bones, sutures, and landmarks, it can be a useful tool.

For art class - realistic
Just what I was looking for to study the human skull for a painting class. Not difficult to assemble though a little confusing in some areas of instructions. That was actually a good way to spend more time focusing on the anatomy more closely. Looks realistic and accurate.

Great option for the price
Bought this to help study for an osteology course. Not all of the bones are separate (vomer, lacrimals, nasals, zygomatics) and not all of the features are clear, however, it is great for learning gross anatomy and the overall configuration of the skull bones. I found it very helpful, especially on days I couldn't access the the lab for full-size models. The smaller size is nice to pack in my book bag for long days. As long as you don't rely on this for smaller details, it's a great option for the price.

Some good, some bad...
I didn't give this just one star because it /is/ actually a nice looking model of a human skull. The reason it gets only three is that it's exceptionally difficult to fit together. It says for ages 8 and up, but I can vouch that it took me a lot of concerted effort to pressure the parts together with my superhuman vise-like grip. Even after I set it down on the desk, I could hear it creaking now and then as it worked its seams slowly back apart again. I can't get the upper lip seam to stay together at all. An eight-year-old will not get this assembled! As others noted, it's not the clean skull pictured; instead it has a lot of "creepy" brown highlighting paint on it, I assume meant to look scary. That's fine, it should just be in the pictures. Also its tiny size surprised me. Going back and reading the description I notice it does in fact say 1:2, but it's not at all obvious from the title, nor probably to anyone who isn't into models. I was expecting a full size skull, but that's my bad for not reading fully.Anyway, if you want a small skull model that comes apart to represent all the different pieces in the human skull and you're hearty enough to pressure it together, look no further! It's actually pretty neat for that.

Recommended, would buy again
Accurate and fun puzzle. The white teeth are a little cheesy but otherwise fantastic. I've been into anatomy (including taking a class and examining human cadavers) and thought it was very interesting. Always loved the sphenoid bone, fun to fit the skull together around it. My father is a doctor (family practitioner) and was also impressed with its realism. He's now planning on buying some as office prizes for his clinic.

Good enough for me.
I really liked this model. Helped me study the bones of the skull for my anatomy class this semester at the comfort of my house. It's small.I like that i could take it apart, identify all the parts I need to know and be able to put it back together. May take a little patience to really put them together but over all, it was really handy to have and got me a 98% on my practical exam. I carried this model in a ziplock bag and never lost a piece or broke off edges.

Muito difĂcil de encaixar as peças
O produto Ă© de borracha e o encaixe fica muito difĂcil. Acredito que a utilidade da peça Ă© poder montar e desmontar facilmente, porĂ©m, isso nĂŁo acontece.
