Yes, buy gold but don't overpay!
The coin itself is great as are the other weights of the Eagle and even the 1oz Buffalo. Paying way too much for packaging is not the way to go. A quick search to find reputable dealers on line or local coin shops is worth the few seconds to save a lot of money (about $150-180 as I write this).
