Tinted Gel Black

I needed to style and darken my hair for Halloween. I don't use hair products otherwise, except for shampoo. This product was easy to use when applied with a fine tooth comb (just be careful not to let globs of black gel drop where they are not supposed to). The product looked good when applied and it worked both to darken as well as style my hair. The hair hold its shape for the entire night and it dried up quickly. None of my clothes were stained. My skin was stained a bit when applying, but it was easy to clean (except for the small streaks that I had here and there on my scalp). The product was very easy to wash away in the shower. It didn't leave any residue and it didn't make a mess in the shower. I would recommend.

I’m currently trying to figure out if I want to dye my hair black or grow out the grey that I inherited from my parents. I’m a sistah with natural wavy hair, it’s not coily and it’s not curly. This gel is straight up messy!! You’ll have black hands, black fingernails, black smudges on your sink the list can go on. BUT!! I like it because it dulls the white grey hair around my edges. It doesn’t cover everything but it makes it tolerable for me. Like i said, my hair isn’t straight so the gel doesn’t lay my hair down and hold it. I have to use a different get and a scarf. Bottom line.. It has a masculine scent, but I like it. The hold is about a 3 out of 10. The coverage doesn’t last all day, it easily sweats and washes off. Even your hands and counter. If you can deal with that, it’s a decent product.

I have curly hair and I have been gray since I was in my 20s. I’m always looking for something that covers the hair well and this seems to do a good job. My only issue with this is the buildup. If you scratch your head, you have black fingernails, it looks good on your hair, but be prepared for it to come off on your hands on your nails and it flakes off so don’t wear anything that will show the black flakes on your clothes. If you can recommend a hair colored gel that doesn’t flake it doesn’t leave residue. Please leave a comment.

Very lovely and beautiful. Quality is very good but use the right amount. Very little amount is enough for it to appear natural and it can also be use as gel only on the baby hair.

Very gluey with strong staining. Yet nice styling and color is really good. I think this is better for barber shops and not for personal use
