Received yesterday, the ruge side use with white wax , and soft side use it with green wax , I used it with normal sharpned kitchen knife with stropping on both sides, it's given my very good results, yes it's need some technic but it's almost recommended product

I purchased this to maintain the edge on a couple of AUS10 and AUS8 Japanese steel knives that I own. AUS10 steel is extremely hard and cannot be maintained with a regular honing steel, so I purchased this stropping kit to handle that task. It took a bit of practice with some older, cheaper, knives to learn how to use it best, just as it did when I first started using a whetstone, but it did a wonderful job even on those older, cheaper blades. Once secure in my stropping skills, I used it on an AUS8 blade and it did a great job there as well. I have not as yet needed to renew the edge on any of my AUS10 or Damascus blades, but I am certain it will do a great job there as well.If you spend time in the kitchen and own good quality knives, you owe it to yourself to get both a whetstone and a stropping leather along with the compound required. Not only will it make your knives beautifully sharp, making for a much safer kitchen, I have found it to be strangely relaxing and soothing to spend an afternoon bringing my knives back to life. Then you can impress your friends and dinner guests with how well your knives slice through a sheet of printer paper! LOLOL

I bought this because stroping was suggested to do in sharping this one seamed ok I was so shocked this leather was perfect size and great quality. I tried my pocket knife without the clay stuff it comes with just playing to see if it makes a difference well it made a huge difference buy this product you get great quality perfect size easy to use and very good Price and shipping was very fast will buy again when I need another.
