The key is a perfect fit, just like the VW OEM key fob. I used the original key blade and did not have to cut the new one at a keymaker. Initially I wanted to use the original fob's button and spring but it does not fit into the new shell as the hole is smaller than the original one. But overall its a perfect fit and Im very happy that my key is working fine now for a fraction of the cost I'd incur at the dealership.

I hardly write reviews bit am writing one for this product as it's quite impressive and built we'll. Recently the key on my VW car remote came out as the key holder broke off. I was unsure of the product as it has no return policy but bought it any how. The old key does not fit in perfectly so yes there's some filing required, but the finished key set is quite as good as original, may be even better.

Product has super build quality. However unless you are a technician you cannot simply change cover. There is a Locking pin you to extract from old one which is to be used in this key as locking pin is not included. Also if you damage the Pcb or immobizer then its a huge cost to get new key. so unless you know some one who can confidently replace dont go for this
