Michael Cooney's riotous farce has all the ingredients for rib-tickling hilarity and offers a colourful selection of character roles. Eric Swan (aided by his Uncle George and unbeknown to his wife, Linda) has pocketed thousands of pounds through fraudulent DSS claims. When Norman Bassett (the lodger) opens the door to Mr Jenkins, the DSS Inspector, deceptive mayhem follows - as do the undertaker, bereavement counsellor, psychiatrist, Norman's fiancée, a corpse, the ominous Ms Cowper and a rather rebellious washing machine! "this superb farce...I found myself snorting like a demented whale. Cash on Delivery strikes me as being an instant classic of the genre." - Charles Spencer, Daily Telegraph Review: Very Funny! - A lovely, light comedy with plenty of silly British humour. It reminds me of some of the good old british comedies you used to see on TV. I'd love to perform this one. It gets confusing with all the characters and name switching, but would be so clear once seen on stage. The Kindle edition is full of errors, both grammar and dialogue order, so it would be advisable for these to be corrected. If I hadn't needed this urgently, because of an audition, I would have purchased the paperback. Worth the money for a little giggle. Review: I got cast in a production! - I ordered this copy to prepare for an audition for a production of this play at the Hale Centre Theatre in Gilbert, AZ. I got cast! So I’m gonna call ordering this a good idea.

Excellent Play
I wasn't sure how to rate this. I think the play is hilarious but the condition my book was in was pretty sad. I paid more for it than I normally have to pay for the same type books but it was pretty marked up and had pages falling out.

Farces are fun!
Love this play, but there are tons of errors in this book. So many simple errors that could have been spotted easily. Oh well. Still a great read :)
