Kid Made Modern STEM Toys for 5 Year Olds STEAM DIY Kaleidoscope Kit - Arts and Crafts for Age 6 and Up

While my son and I love most Kids Made Modern products, this kit especially impressed me. The assembly is easy, requiring only some tape. My 4yo worked independently on the decorations while I taped the mirrors together. Assembly was easy and satisfying for my 4yo, who was able to follow the directions without the help of adult fingers.The overall quality is great. The decorative contact paper has a great “stick” to it, and the beads included are beautiful and unique (my son audibly gasped as I poured them out). The best part is that the lens at the end is easily removed, meaning you can experiment with different decorative filling for endless combinations.The only downside is this feature does mean it is not exactly sturdy. One drop, and the end lens is likely to pop off and scatter beads everywhere. This isn’t a big deal for us, as that means we get to try new combos. A bit of tape would remedy this easily enough.It is not often I find a craft my 4yo feels confident to take over entirely on his own, but this is an absolute winner. This will be a go-to gift for friends and family from now on.

This is a great kit! The end product is lovely quality. The adhesive paper and glitter tape both stay down—no curling up. There are tons of beads in the kit—you can use the extras to make jewelry once you’re done experimenting.

its an alright DIY project.. it just doesnt last and is not sturdy at all..

My daughter loves these sets and this one did not disappoint!

We were excited for these, to do as a family project. They were pretty dinky, the instructions weren’t clear and it did not stay together after being built.The mirrors fell out with the piece holding the beads/confetti to create the design in the light.We ended up hot gluing 99% of everything so the littles could effectively play and explore with them. This limited their option to interchange beads and made it very difficult to twist the front piece to move said beads in the light.
