Let me start off by saying "I Love Watermelon", so when I saw this watermelon slicer, I had to have it! Plus it came with a strawberry huller and an ebook...B-O-N-U-S!! The first thing that I noticed is that it was a good quality stainless steel slicer, and had good weight to it (but not too heavy). I know cutting a watermelon can get a bit messy, but the handle is made out of some type of silicone which made it easy to grip and hold on to (even with watermelon juice everywhere). At first, I could not figure out how to use the darn thing, and after a few tries, I decided to be a big girl and look at the instructions, and "VOILA" out came perfect slices of watermelon. This is the first time that I have sliced up a watermelon, had did not have 2 cups of watermelon juice all over the counter. I used a small round watermelon which gave me smaller slices. If you use a longer and larger watermelon, you will get bigger slices. I am planning on having a wine party in a couple of weeks, and the ebook that I received with my purchase has so many wonderful watermelon party food recipe ideas and drinks. I am going to use the strawberry huller to make strawberry cheesecake bites for my party guest. Another great thing that I like about this slicer, is that it has no sharp edges, and my 3 your old grandson was able to use it and cut his own little perfect watermelon slice. If you are thinking of purchasing a watermelon slicer, I would defiantly recommend this one. I am going to order another one to be the giveaway gift at my wine party. I wish I had found out about this sooner, it makes watermelon serving a breeze. One tool does it all, plus it can be used on Melons, Cantaloupes, etc. I took a large watermelon, and had it into a serving bowl in bite size pieces in less than a minute. Very well made steel construction, that looks like it will last a lifetime.After cutting the melon in half with a knife, I inserted the tool into one half the watermelon and simply pushed down until it was divided in long sections, it only took me a few seconds to do this. Once done simply turn the tool over and extract the sections, then use the tool to quickly cut into bite size pieces, it couldn't be easier. We polished off half a large watermelon after dinner and served the other half today. Definitely will be purchasing more watermelons, as this is so much easier than trying to eat watermelons in large sections.The strawberry husker is a nice added bonus for removing the stems and leaves off strawberries. Again simple and easy, no need to cut out with a knife and potentially cut yourself. This is a graet addition to my collection of kitchen gadgets. My whole family adores watermelon but i have never found a great way to cut one up that wasn't super messy. This tool is perfect for getting as much useable watermelon out as possible and having it all ready to serve. It does take a little bit of practice to get the hang of how to best use but after my second watermelon half i had gotten the hang of it. I also cannot say enough good things about the free gift strawberry huller that came with the watermelon slicer. My five year old loves strawberries but if i give her a whole one she will only eat a bite or two because she doesn't like the stem part. It takes so long to hull each strawberry individually with a knife but with thus gadget it was a breeze. I recieved this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

Very difficult to use if you don't have two strong hands. It was described as an easier way to slice melons but it isn't any easier. It is messier.

I used to hate cutting up a whole watermelon because everything got wet and messy. Not anymore with this product! The liquid stays in the half cut up watermelon and I just scoop out the cut pieces!

Better than the previous two I purchased although I must say it isn't an easy tool to use - better for the man of the house to do this cutting with this device.

I think it will be OK if we ever get the hang of it. It's not as easy as the TV shows.

This is a really handy tool around the kitchen and makes perfect slices if watermelon. Great quality and a great price that beats anywhere else.
