Great service abysmal phone
Bought this phone for my Techically challenged Mum. Easy to use and when issue the help line was there and in the uk. So great service. The phone itself is a cheap Alcatel-Lucent and was not impressed for the price. Battery life is poor only just making a day you Have to put it on charge early evening and overnight, no fast charging.Screen is not overly large and resolution is not great. It fills the purpose to give mum a useable phone, just.....Update Dec 2023- had to throw the phone in the bin - as expected the phone is abysmally slow - asked why she wasnt using the phone - 'its too slow'. thought this wasn't the case but when i tried to start whatsapp it took 2min 10sec to open. I wiped the phone and factory reset it but it made no difference. Battery life was now less than 3 hrs on standby shorter if you used the phone.in short the skin Easyphone have put on is ok their choice of handset is appalling DO NOT BUY!!!

Complicated.
This was my first Smart Phone and it completely baffles me. I can just about make and receive phone calls and that is it.Perhaps I,m just too old but it is all beyond me.

Not as easy as we had hoped
The phone was not suitable for us because my mother suffers from arthritis and hearing issues, the sound was not good enough even when boosted. Her dexterity was not good enough to use the touch screen and it was rather complicated to use. All things considered I was disappointed and the phone has gone back. However the customer service has been excellent and helpful. This phone might be ok for someone used to dealing with a smart phone but it didnt work for us.

Nice phone ,. Easy to use, except when dementia is coming in. As soon as he touches it he sends an sos message. Can't see how to remove it from the screen

Easy phone for elderly
Absolutely rubbish phone sent back. Bought for my 86 year old father. Processor is so slow which would make him keep pressing buttons. Phone freezing during use then crashing constantly. Stressing 96 year old badly. Camera quality zero. Ease of use zero. Removing the back of phone zero. This phone is definitely not for the elderly. The reaction time from pressing an icon to response is so slow they will keep pressing and the phone then crashes. Also rubbish quality for £150 so flimsy for stiff elderly hands. Charger has poor connection and will not last. Very very disappointed do not buy for the elderly.

Clear & simple
Purchased for an elderly relative, and so far very pleased with it. We like the menu, which is written as a list, so you know what each option is. They seem to be coping with it well. One suggestion would be to have a stylus incorporated somehow, as he finds it tricky to hit the correct option with his fingers - but that is just a tiny niggle, which we solved with a purchase. The set up was easy for me, but would not have been easy for my relative. If someone was already used to using a smartphone, they would probably be fine, but a complete novice would need more assistance. The whole family is happy that he now has WhatsApp, he can see photos from his grandchildren - if only we can persuade him that he needs to have it switched on and with him :))
