Perfect travel size!
I’m generally a pure vitamin E ointment user for healing. But recently, I was struggling with some intense itch. Small tattoos are ok – you just deal with it. But I’ve been in the process of sleeving both arms and with large areas needing to heal, the itch was getting intense. I had heard that Fisticuffs tattoo balm helped with the itch so I decided to try it out. I would say I am happy with the results. Not only did it really help with the itch, it did help calm down some of the swelling as well. Went on smooth and had a slight cooling sensation for me – like almost instant relief. I purchased the 1oz tin as well – I brought it with me everywhere in case I needed some extra itch help. Fits perfect in your pocket. As for the heal, I had the ‘onion skin’ with zero scabbing in a few days. It healed the skin well and looks great. I had no ink loss that I can tell. I just bought another two tins (1 & 2 oz sizes) for my next piece of work.In the past, I had some issues with the pure vitamin E ointment clogging my pores but I had no such problems with this balm. Also, I found this balm to leave less of a greasy feel after applying (as I have found with other balms like Hustle Butter). As with other reviewers, I’d like to mention that this balm does have a very strong smell when you first take it out of the tin and apply. It is the tea tree oil. Some will like it and some might not. It does wake you up early in the morning – lol. Having said that, it does dissipate quickly to leave a more subtle smell. I liked the smell – no issues with that on this end.

really nice
This was my first nice tattoo besides a small one I have. I have full color on this one. I experienced a lot of peeling and itching. this product is very soothing. For me it does not smell bad at all. It isn't too sticky or strong smelling. I found it very nice feeling. It is a bit wet of a feeling, which felt fine on my forearm but may be sticky feeling under clothing. It does not feel like the feeling of aloe. it was patted on very thin and stayed moist. I have been applying a few times a day as I heal. I would recommend this product. If you live somewhere warm I would get it out of the mailbox as soon as possible and don't leave it any place warm. It is melty. I feel like this product has quality ingredients and is soothing. I also tried Mad rabbit repair and I like this better. Mad Rabbit was more sticky like aloe.

Works great, not just for tattoos!!
Just had my right upper arm tattooed two days ago. Since I had been planning this newest ink job for a while, I bought a small tin of this product. For a while, I used it as a preservative measure on my other tattoos. It brought back the black and gray contrasting colors very well, working better then most lotions. After the tattoo, it really soothed the stinging, burning sensation you get after several thousand needle sticks. As far as scabbing, every tattoo I've had had scanned up a bit (my skin type, perhaps?) but this product has helped keep those crime crushing up and easier to wash off. The day after this latest ink job, my lips became chapped. I figured, well, why not try it? Not only did it heal the chapping, it did not sting or burn! This item maybe useful for those un-adorned for minor skin irritation and want an all natural remedy. Very satisfied and will purchase more!

So far, so good
Had an allergic reaction to A&D after using it for many years and switched to this in the middle of healing a fresh tattoo. Has a bit of a greasy feel, but goes on smoothly. I've had to re-apply more often than expected. Did bring down the swelling, redness, and general irritation after about 24-48hrs. Will most likely be trying this to see how it does with an initial healing. Side note, the smallest tin was near impossible to get open.

This works on babies skin,
Great product I have had it for 2 tattoos I bought it for a set of flames on my forearm. I had a ingrown hair in it after the first day. This little tin of hardcore magic healed it and saved the line work. My lines look week old after 3 yrs.For a memorial to my grandparents I used it day 1. Looks like I just got it weeks ago.Cuts, burns, scrapes it heals those to.My infant grandson cut his face with his nail. I put some on it. A small rub it vanished before our eyes. All natural organic and safe.

So good!
I bought this for aftercare of my first tattoo as per my artists instructions. Once the tattoo started to scab and/or peel I switched from a light layer of A&D to this.I was debating between fisticuffs and hustle butter and chose this one.Personally I like the smell, it's pleasant at first then smells herbal and minty. I knew based on the ingredients list that it would be great for my skin as tea tree oil is antimicrobial and reduces scarring and vitamin E and lavender are great for healing. What I was super pleasantly surprised by was the almost immediate itch relief. When the 1oz tin showed up I was nervous I hadn't bought enough but a little goes a long way.

Great Scent, Great Moisturizing
I like the scent on this, and the feel of it is very smooth and not too greasy. I don’t feel the grittiness others have stated they feel. I have been using this on already healed tattoos with the intention of making the colors pop more. It definitely helps by keeping my sling moisturized, but not any better than others I have used (Viking, Tattoo Goo) in my opinion tattoo goo works better and the Viking tattoo balm works just as well as this, but that one is greasy as heck.

Great tattoo balm!!!
This worked great! Just apply a thin later every 8 hours or so and you're good to go! I've always used Aquaphor in the past for the first few days followed by Curel unscented lotion for a couple of weeks. I'm on day 15 from a new tattoo and used this for the first 13 and it worked great. I put it on after showering in the morning, before bed, and maybe around 2pm if necessary. It lasts a long time and helps calm the itch, plus it smells good and doesn't feel greasy like petroleum based products.
