The item arrived today in great condition with not so much as a scratch, it was very well packaged and all parts were present.Assembly was easy with the provided instructions. I opted for the vertical orientation so that it would work in conjunction with roof bars on my Tacoma, but it would be a quick 5-minute job to change it to the longer horizontal configuration.It does rattle a bit at the hitch and where the upper "T" attaches to the vertical bar with a clevis pin. The pin makes height adjustment and disassembly easy but I may replace the pin with a bolt to minimize rattling. I also ordered an anti-rattle clip to prevent movement at the hitch.I plan to use this extender to carry a long extension ladder and the occasional long lumber pieces so I am pleased to find an affordable way to make my truck more useful.Edit: Unlike some other reviewers, mine came with all necessary hardware, INCLUDING a hitch pin and cotter pin

It's a well made product but I'll never use it and after putting it together and throwing away the box it came in it will never get used. I installed it in the vertices position to the receiver hitch on my golf cart hoping to load it on top of my golf cart. I used it one time and it's way more work than I care to do to go kayaking

Easy to use fits just like it's supposed to build quality is okay. stability is a little shaky. hole sizes are okay i haven't had a issue. Seems safe to use for my kayak.

If you don't have access to or want to bring a trailer this is great for lighter items. Won't hold a ton of weight but great for that odd 12' piece. Comes apart for compact storge.

I have a fourteen foot long sea kayak that I love to paddle, but it is a bit long for convenient conveyance. I've been using a Rack-n-Roll trailer, which is great, but that truck/trailer combo is long and doesn't work well in some tight little access areas that aren't formal boat ramps. This is a fantastic solution - very easy to set up and use! And, compared to a trailer, a very reasonable price. I'm very happy with it and I'm sure I will be using it often.

Chose this rather than an over the cab design. I'm 73. I realized an over the cab rack was going to be difficult for me to install, and I wasn't sure I could lift and remove lumber, ladders, and such. Very satisfied with this choice. Light, easy to assemble, easy to store.

This was a high quality bed extender. For the price, I was extremely impressed.
