Some beef jerky (jack links) throws me off, but I’ve never had a bad batch of this stuff

When my container is empty, I buy these to refill it. Visitors help themselves when they see them in my container. This is my to go for Peppered Beef Jerky.

Extremely peppery taste but meat quality is pretty good. If you like eating whole black peppercorn then these are for you

I almost threw up when I opened the package, they are mushy and covered with something that appears to be mold. I can’t even hold onto them to return to Kohls for a refund . Worst part is they were 1 or 2 day delivery so they had to be like this when they were packaged. First order a couple weeks ago were great, but Never ever again, at least this was obviously visible. I fear the ones that are bad and less obvious.

As beef jerky goes, this is bottom-end. It's reprocessed beef, so it doesn't have the original grain to it, and a bit dense, thin, and chewy. The flavor is okay, peppery but not spicy, and the fat/lean content is just okay. I wouldn't buy it again - the least-expensive, proper, mass-market jerky is better and worth the small premium you pay per ounce. I'd only recommend this if you have trouble chewing the more authentic stuff, or like the seasonings and salt more than the meat.

I don’t write many reviews but when I tried this jerky I figured I’d leave an honest review. I wasn’t expecting them to be anything out of this world but to my surprise they are actually really great! Great tasting and very tender with that perfect amount of black pepper taste. Will absolutely order again!

The only problem I have is it’s soooo good it gets eaten up too quickly in our house.
