Q: Does this accomodate the larger, super-size paper towel rolls?

Yes. My husband bought the biggest size Bounty makes and he was surprised that it fit. I don't have specific measurements, but I hope that helps. We really like it so far. Super easy to change rolls.

Q: Can it be hung vertically

I hung it upside down and vertically. What a disaster. The paper towels unravel downwards nonstop… very annoying! Maybe it won’t do that if you hang it vertically upright. Had to remove and will rehang horizontally.

Q: Is it level if you mount it under a cabinet?

The open end of mine is tilted up about a quarter of an inch so that the roll of towels is not level. I had to install a quarter-inch piece of wood under the end screw to get the towels level.

Q: How long is the rod for the paper towel?
