Watato Garden Hose Set

I've been working on changing out all my hoses to light weight retractable hoses since I'm elderly and my arthritis has gotten exponentially worse over the last few years. I have 4 lightweight hoses. 3 retractable and 1 that is lightweight but doesn't retract..it basically just collapses flat, it kinks.my 1st retractable retracted completed all the way to the faucet, which I liked, but it wasn't as thick as this 1 and started getting weak where the hose ends go into the brass fittingsthis 1 is by far the best..the only trade-off for it being a tad more heavy duty, Is it retracts about 75 % so I have to help it along towards the end, but no big deal since it super light. but a plus for being a bit heavduty is, if you pull on the hose..I don't fear the hose will pull out of the brass fittings.I like that you get a fairly decent hose end sprayer, and hose holder that goes over the faucet so you can hang it neatly and a storage bag for winter.super great value for the money.PS..I have the 50 foot hose.

These expandable hoses never ever make it more than a season. Well last year when I bought this I resolved to bring it inside to extend its life but didn't have high hopes anyway. Then I forgot. Lmao yep all winter, not a single thought. Was expecting 4 different leaks this summer but nothing. Not a single one. I'm impressed. I've been thru dozens of hoses as an avid gardener of 15 years. It stretches so far I only need one to reach around my whole house basically. And I dont treat it nicely either I'm always throwing, stretching, yanking it etc. It retracts easily and quickly and I store it in a decorative pot easily. And it's not ugly! Highly recommend. Pay the extra few bucks for quality and it pays for itself.

I purchased this hose ONLY bc I trusted the descriptions claims of never kinking. I have a large yard (front and back cover with flower beds), so I was super excited to have a hose that’s both super long and wouldn’t kink as I lug it from bed to bed. Unfortunately, I was quickly let down once I began using. Wouldn’t say this new hose fully kinks but it does twists up super tightly together and does so in multiple spots. The pic included is one I snapped after using it yesterday. Didn’t think to take one while it was laid out, but this type of twisting is what happens constantly along the entire length… and so much so, that I have to walk up & down the length of it and struggle to untwist, just so the water flow is not restricted. If left twisted, the flow is greatly reduced.

The head has good pressure and spray options, but the mechanism to turn it on and off is a lever not easier moved with the thumb. Would prefer a palm activated trigger for truly one hand functionality.After use, water must be turned off, then hand-sprayer used until the water drains from the hose. It will not drain on its own and instructions say not to leave water in it.While seemingly durable, it is heavier than I expected, especially when wet. There are “ribbon” varieties that are lighter and shrink up immediately when water is turned off. Likely not as durable, but FYI for what you need.Lastly, material is fabric like, such that if left on ground, it’s going to get dirty / stained. Nit a big deal, just FYI.

Bought this on a whim and as a backup when I saw it on sale a few months back. Been using it for a month and and it’s been working great. I didn’t measure it, but I do use it at full length and it does get longer after a number of uses, so don’t be too concerned if comes up short at first. I put it back in the bag after each use, so I’m uncertain if it still will hold up well again rodents and UV, but I see that the current promo brings the price down much lower than when I first bought it so I might buy a 2nd one for the backyard.Update May 14, 2021: Been using it for a year and kept it outside for several months after the bag fell apart and it still works great. I was concerned there would be a leak after too many times of the hose being pushed against rose thorns but no issue.

The hose is lightweight and can be maneuvered in the yard quite easily . The hose connection does not hold up it departs from the nozzle . LMFH
