Sabatier Triple Rivet Turner, Big Burger, Black

I usually cook with cast iron, and those flimsy plastic turners just weren't cutting it any more. I can't use them at all when I'm cooking at high temperatures, because they would melt. The silicone turners hold up in high heat, but are too floppy to release food from the pan with any "authority". This turner is good to use in any cooking situation, from flipping eggs and burgers to frying potatoes.This smaller size is perfect for my use. It gives me a little more dexterity when trying to maneuver bits of food around the pan.One small tip — the handle. It's a nice sturdy plastic handle, but it's made of POM plastic, which has a melting temperature of around 347° F. That's fine for the dishwasher, but it's not a good idea to leave any cooking utensil sitting in the pan when not in use. I've been using plastic turners for a long time, which forced me to get out of the habit of leaving cooking utensils just sitting in the pan when not actively working with them. That's what spoon rests are for. If you just get in the habit of setting your cooking utensils aside when not using them, you'll never have to worry about the handle melting.

These are just the right size, they're sturdy, they don't rust, and they last. I have one that I bought about 15 years ago, and it's still terrific. I bought another to give to a friend because he used mine and fell in love.

Very useful turner , not too large but will be useful for flipping burgers or chicken breasts / pancakes etc. Very solid stainless steel construction. Great Brand . I own a chef's knife from the same brand, that I purchased in France , years ago. Happy with this purchase. Shipping was quick.
