This was a great addition to our chicken hatching unit for elementary students. The illustrations are beautiful and the information about all types of breeds was exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend!

This book is great for ages 3+. I have bought it for all of my nieces and nephews and is a great book to gift. Illustrations are beautiful and information is spot on.

Every page is covered with beautiful age appropriate artwork. Each page is very informative but expressed with language that is perfect for an elementary age child.Far exceeded my expectations.

I came across this book while browsing children's non-fiction titles, and it looked so interesting that I purchased it for myself (I'm an adult in my 40s). This is a well written book that provides a lot of information about chickens in an engaging format. I highly recommend for kids (probably age 10+ since it seemed too advanced for my 7-yr-old) or adults who have any interest in chickens.

We are doing a chicken study for homeschool and this book is used for the study. I absolutely love this book and have learned so much!

I got this book as a gift for my eight year old who loves chickens and I wanted him to educate himself on the life and breeds of chickens. Early on, the book goes into evolution and how chickens evolved from dinosaurs. I was disappointed and thought of sending it back, but the book has some good information in it, so I kept it but use the book to point out God's creative design.

We bought this for our grandsons after they got chickens. They are 7 and 9 years old. The book is full of great information and pictures to keep their attention. Fun for parents too. I wish I have found it before they bought the chickens. It would have been a great lead into the experience.

This book is informative,but the pictures leave a lot to be desired for a 5-6 year old. I would not recommend this for a child under 10 years old. I was quite disappointed.
