Sturdy, large, easy to secure.
Large enough, sturdy, easy to attach, secure, and it can be easily reconfigured to leave one seat open. We have a large dog kennel sitting on our back seat of our Ram pickup, which takes up 2/3 of the seat. I like to leave one seat open for my German Shepherd to use on her route getting up into her kennel. So, I folded one end of the bridge under before I secured it. (Without the second headrest tie, I just pulled the strap around the headrest and used an overhead tie-down spot in the rear overhead area. Secure and out of the way.) Our dog stands, shifts around, walks around inside her kennel without any tipping or insecurity. It’s large enough to fit most all of the back seat area except right next to the back portion of the rear seats. I did slide in some old towels rolled up to bolster the very rear few inches, which helped level it out.) I’ll never have to touch it again. It works like a gem. My dog jumps onto the floor board area, then jumps onto the seat, then walks into her kennel. Very secure. Nice materials, should last a long time. Very sturdy. Looks great, mainly hidden. The front seats can be moved forward and back without much effect.

Great product - much better than other designs
Great product. Much better than other designs I've tried. The boards are stiffer and they cover more seat area, so that's great. Doesn't cover the full seat but I have a full size SUV and it is meant to fit smaller SUVs as well, so I expected that. The pocket is a very nice touch - really like that. However the pocket should be facing the front, not the back. The driver is one who will use the mesh pocket, not the pet. LOL I installed it backwards (upside down) so that I can put my purse in the mesh pocket from the front seat. The pocket works great for that. But installing it that way means the clip for the bottom strap is on the top instead of the bottom where it should be. Oh well, I made it work. I then covered the whole thing with a "hammock" seat cover so having the clip on the top doesn't bother the dogs. Would be a good design change to have the mesh part face the front seat. I'm guessing they made it the way they did so it could be used with a bench seat. I've always had bucket front seats. Maybe offer 2 designs. Thanks! :-)

GREAT solution. Just a bit wide for my backseat.
I was thrilled to get my first sling, and my 82 lb GSD ripped through it in short order. Why? Because the wheel well behind my back seats was like a FL sinkhole. Every stop--fast or slow--he hit that empty void and it finally gave in to his claws. I saw this product and it fixed my issue. It provides a solid platform for him to stand, lay down on, and slide forward with braking...all without falling into the abyss. The ONLY three minor things I see as a problem are: 1) It is JUST A TAD wide for my FJ Cruiser backseat. I wedged it in anyways and it fits. 2) It tends to flop a little on my back seat since the seat angles back. Not a big deal, but occassionally it has a little drop. Playing with the tension on the seat straps has helped. 3) My search dog gets really dirty, and the design of this alone does not keep dirt from getting into my seat cushions. Solution: I bought an inexpensive sling cover that I put over the top of this. It would rip without this, but when supported by it provides the water and dirt protection I need. All of this while keeping storage space behind my front seats in the footwells, and protecting my pooch and the upholstery. The ONLY reason I give it 4 stars is the fit and the inability to keep dirt/water out of the cushions. Combining with an inexpensive sling makes it the best combo that I have found. It should last a long time.

Very Solid
I've been using the Pet Bridge for almost a month and I love it. Previously I was using a pet sling in the backseat for my dog, which did not provide enough support. The Pet Bridge was the perfect answer. Like another reviewer, I installed the bridge "inside out," so the pocket between the seats is facing the driver, so I can use it. (My dog has no use for the pocket.) The bridge has velcro on each of the three sections containing actual plywood, which can be removed/replaced. My dog can now stand up on any part of the backseat. Lots of straps are connected to the bridge to ensure it doesn't move and provides lots of support. I am still using the sling over the pet bridge, as an additional layer for when my dog has dirty feet or sheds. The only drawback I have found is that removing part of the bridge to allow a passenger to sit in the backseat isn't a quick process, considering all the straps. However, it's very rare that I would need to do that. This inconvenience is far outweighed by the excellent support provided by the Pet Bridge.

Not what I was wanting
This product fit in a 2021 Jeep Gladitor Mojave. Because the back seat angles up in the front we had to place a pillow under the back to make it level. The long straps weren't long enough to fit around the front seat so we used the handle on the door jam and wrapped it under the outside edge which made it more stable. As for the middle pocket, we didn't like that becuase the airconditioner doesn't have a way to blow in to keep the dogs cool/warm. However the cab is small enough that they stay comfortale with the front vents. We were really uncomfortable that the back has nothing to tie it down, however once we leveled it up with the pillows and put a sling cover over it, they work for our two dogs who weight in the 80's. We plan to revamp this product to fit in the sling cover so that it does more of what we want. So basically, the product fits as shows but I wouldn't purchase it again becuase it was really expensive to totally revamp it to work.

Our bulldogs love it!
I have a 2019 Silverado and we take our dogs with us everywhere. Just plopping them in the back seat is fine for trips around town. But, we were planning a 16 hour trip to Florida and they needed more room to spread out. This product worked PERFECTLY! The white bulldog is 46 pounds and the big guy is 91 pounds. Because this thing has plywood/hardwood, it doesn't bend or give at all. The polyester material does a great job of protecting the truck seats. However, it is very "slippery" for our bullies' feet. I added a twin mattress egg crate and a sherpa blanket on top and they absolutely love it! It was super simple to install with 6 nylon straps and buckles that go around the front seats. It was easy to unhook and pack away for the trip home as well. Thank you so much FrontPet!!

works great for 90 lb older dog with wonky hips
I now have a car with rear seats that tilt towards the back, rather than laying flat. I was planning some long trips with my decrepit doggo, and didn't want to use the bigger platform I use in my truck, so got this one to try. With some old towels underneath in the seat "wells", and an LL Bean pet protector seat cover over those with the front apron folded under for extra stability, this platform fits over all that and enlarges the back seat area nicely and makes a nice level bed. I lay a couple of firm blankets on top for comfort. My dog doesn't stand/hang over into the front seat, so it's sturdiness/stability is perfectly fine for him. The support straps/velcro do seem a tenuous attachment system, but no problems now, a couple of months in. People with big dogs who always want to be toward the front, may consider something else.

Probably the best option for my truck/dog, but not perfect
To be honest i'm not sure any of these pet platforms (or seat protectors, for that matter) are perfect , based on your vehicle type, pet type etc. But after a lot of research I think this is the best for my situation. The platform fits well in the back seat of my Ram 1500 Quad Cab. I can fit a large dog bed on the drivers' side with room for my 60 lb lab mix to sit on the passenger side while not on the bed. It is a good height for her to look out the window. There is about 2" on each side of the back seat (left and right) that is uncovered by this. My one complaint is the divider between the front and back seat is flimsy and definitely will not keep an active, large dog from attempting to access the front. I am using this with an Amazon Basics rear seat protector, which you can see in my pictures. I circled the front/rear divider for reference. Overall, not perfect but for me a good option. We shall see how it holds up. Update after a couple months use - holding up well. Because the surface of the platform is nylon, there is no traction so it's easy for my dog to slide on it when making corners. I bought a cheap area rug to put on top of the platform (kind with a rubberized bottom), and problem solved.

GREAT CHOICE!
We wanted to test this product quite a few times before reviewing it. We drive a 2015 Highlander and it's a great fit with the second row of seats pushed completely forward. We also use a cover for the back of the seats as the seats are leather and could become damaged. We add a dog cover on the flat area where the dog lies for more comfort and to make it easier to clean during mud season etc. Our dog is about 55 pounds and a good jumper, tied down with a security belt but did not attempt to jump the barrier between the seats. GREAT! The pocket in the middle will be very handy when we make our longer treks during the summer. The bench is very sturdy and we can store small items on the floor under it in the gap between the seats. The installation was very smooth and the quality of the Pet Bridge is excellent. The delivery was on time. We made an excellent choice. We live in Quebec and it is well adapted to cold and snowy conditions.

Great Product
I bought this for my 60kg Great Dane so she has more room when in the back of my 2018 GMC Canyon. Surprisingly, so far it’s been able to hold her weight, no rips or tears yet. I am a taller person and drive with my seat fairly far back, and even with this installed in my truck there is still some wiggle room to adjust the seat.

Overall, quite expensive but a good product ...
I like this item because it does what was created for and it seems sturdy enough to keep our dog safe and comfortable on the backseat. Looks good. I think it is very safe for one dog, at least. I like that there is a total of 6 straps to secure the backseat bridge onto the front seats, 3 attached onto each front seat. Unfortunately, it is not a perfect fit for a 2018 Honda HRV, so we need to make it shorter on the doors side, like 2" shorter (54 3/4" is too long for our car). So we will cut either both marginal panels or one of them. In order to make it look nice and keep it even we will cut 1" on each side. But that's our car ... Other than that there is no problem with it. The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that one of the straps requires some sewing in order to keep the buckle on it. It's a small defect that the Quality Control missed when they checked the product. I thought of sending it back and reorder but it doesn't really worth it since a sewing machine can do the job. Overall, quite expensive but good item. However, at this price it should have any defects ...

Great basis for giving dogs safe space on back seats.
Works and fits like a charm for my large SUV (Saturn Outlook). The belts that are supposed to go around the lower part of the front seats are too short to reach around but even without them, it is firmly and safely installed. The surface is quite slippery and I decided to put soft dog beds on it. With that, my dogs are very comfortable and secured by a harness, connected to the seat belt. Definitely recommend but probably not on its own.

Needs better clips.
Worked as expected. Design flaws, larger and sturdier clips. Cheap plastic. 90lb dog moving back there will snap them.
