646015BR Soffit Exhaust Vent, Brown

There really wasn’t a lot of competition that was aesthetically pleasing. Installation was simple. I had to cut out notches for the clips to go through the soffit. Otherwise very happy.

After looking high and low for a great quality Soffit vent for my guest bath vent, I installed this one. It has a few issues, but this is what I installed for the guest bath remodel, it works fine now for 4yrs , and is ez to install. What I wanted was a soffit vent with a backdraft damper that did not occlude 30% + of the air flow when open, and made with higher quality , and with finer screen to prevent insects....now Fast forward >> to master bath remodel ... I looked high and low for a better soffit vent , I returned 3 different models from various manufacturers (sorry Amazon) and I’m installing this Same unit because, unless your willing to penetrate the roof and put a roof vent on, this unit is the best unit you can buy for soffit bathroom vent. period. (.)To be more clear, I gave this unit 5 stars not because I’m thrilled with quality or needed the brown color , although for the price, it is very reasonable and I did need brown...I gave this product 5 stars because this is the best I found of all that is available on the market. Clearly there is a market niche wide open for a better quality soffit vent, until then, this is it.....

I was looking for a brown soffit vent for a bathroom fan, it also is made rather cheaply. Unfortunately this is not made very well & allows air to draft back in rather frequently. I’m still looking for a better option, that actually works.

We had these under eave exhaust vents installed outside each of our bathroom windows. WOW, what a difference they make! We had the old ceiling fans previously, which vented to the attic. They were OLD, outdated, ugly, and didn't do much good against the steam of the long teenage showers! These new vents fit up, outside under the eave, out of sight, and were the perfect brown to match our house. White vents are easy to find, brown not so much! Many people have to paint the white exhaust vents to match their siding or soffits. The paint usually always peels off over time and then you see the contrasting white. We were excited to find this perfect match brown. Our installer actually removed the metal ball and inside flapper to prevent any icing issues in the cold, snowy winters here in Pennsylvania. They really do an excellent job coupled with the new bathroom ceiling fans. The fans are now "whisper quiet" as promised and these exhaust vents are very effective against the steam from long, very hot showers. Great price for a product that was exactly what we were looking for.

This vent was perfect for my application of venting thru the soffet. It has a baffle door that is closed preventing insects from coming in. The installation was easy for this vent requiring a jigsaw to create the round hole in the soffet. Only thing I would ask Manufacturer to do is insulate the baffle door to keep some of the cold out but that is not a knock on this product. It was the right color and performs well so far after two months

I like the low profile, simple design. The cut instructions call for a 6in opening rendering the mounting screw holes ineffective. I had to tap new holes in the face plate to get it securely installed.
