MarleyLFK404 Qmark Electric Residential Wall Heater

DA BEAST! This monster puts out a lotta heat! Also puts out a lotta noise - 68 db at 1'. I installed this in the master bath. I HATE getting out of the shower into a cold bathroom! I start the heater 10 min. before and step out of the shower into a warm room. Trade off - more heat - more noise. I'll take it every time. If you are installing this yourself, be aware that there is a 20 second delay between turning the machine on and it actually starting!! I took the whole thing apart twice to "fix" the problem before I figured it out.

It came regular shipping in just a few days -just as promised. The instructions were clear except it didn't specify the wire required or breaker size. 240 volts (16.67 amps) You could probably use 12 gauge- 20 amp, but I used 10 gauge 30 amp- to exceed the 80% limit factor on the breaker. It is about as quiet as a regular fan forced plug in portable heater- but puts out alot more heat. (It wouldn't burn anything around it though.) It was easy to install- I surface mounted it to a block wall- and made a frame to cover the unpainted housing- out of white plastic lumber. (cheaper than going to another site to buy the $60 surface mount-frame kit). Appears to have quality parts. The grill is white and neat looking. I almost bought the 3000 watt unit - but I am happy with this 4000 watt one.

I purchased this heater after reading several nice reviews. I was disappointed. The unit was defective. The firsttime it shut off it made a terrible racket. I think the fan was hitting something. The noise recurred each time shuttingdown. A quality control issue. Aside from this major problem, the noise level was very high. Also, the unit hadonly one control instead of two, a thermostat control & an on & off switch. The old unit it replaced, a 40 year oldGE unit, was much quieter unit & had 2 controls. Also, the manufacturer recommended leaving the unit oncontinuously. This unit is obviously not intended for home use but for industrial use. I returned the unit & gota refund. - Jim McKay

I am pleased with the Stove. It works well and puts out adequate heat. Installation is easy. My only problem was the arrival time was several days past what the company estimated.
