It looks great in our kitchen. It does fit my butter block BUT I use a vegan block, which is only 200g, so it may not fit a standard UK cow butter block… I couldn’t say either way.My only gripe with it is that the sides of the glass lid are sloped at such an angle that it’s hard to lift the lid off. If you have any grease or water on your fingers, it’s not easy to lift the lid, and it seems likely that I will end up dropping the lid at some point because of this design. Other dishes have a logo on the lid which offers some grip, or else a handle on the sides or top.I will be keeping it, as I do like the look at it does work for my needs, but I would probably look for something straight-sided or with better grip in my next purchase.

Pros: transparent, no plastic, flat base rather than flat lid. Cons: like 4mm too squat to fit a standard UK buttter... though cut the block in half and turn both bits on their side, or get a woodworking friend to route out more space (also removing the ughmeh branded brand in the middle of the base).

I came across this butter dish as I started to use butter cube and I can’t be happier. It’s pretty to look at, very good quality dish and also very robust and thick glass lid. It can fit the biggest butter you can find

Quality butter dish, fits a 250g butter block. It feels very sturdy and I love the clear thick glass top.

Perfect stylish apart from normal size butter block dosnt fit under the lid so won’t go back on properly until some of the butter is used

Maybe this is designed for a country other than the UK, but a standard butter block is too tall for this dish. The glass will squash into it and render the entire purpose of this thing's aesthetic pointless.

The glass top seems ok, but the wooden base is very flimsy. After only 3 months it's already falling apart. This happens when I take it out of the fridge and the top is stuck to the base with cold butter. The edges of the base just come off in my hands as I prise the two apart.I now need another butter dish and I won't be buying another of these.
