Good product and one kit will easily cover 2 doors.
Actually does make a noticeable improvement when used to replace the factory sound proof/vapor barrier in my Jeep WJ. I would recommend this product to a friend. I used rubbing alcohol to prep the surface but if I am honest this stuff is so sticky ( on 80+ degree F day ) that I think I could have simply dusted and left all the other junk and it would have bonded just fine. If I had to complain about somthing it would be how the stuff rips... I understand that it has to be soft to absorb sound and it is strong enough to hold the pressure created by my Fosgate 6x9's. But when you are laying the stuff out and having to manipulate the sheet to work the rods and wire clip thru take care not to pull it apart like some super sticky taffy. Maybe direct sunlight on a hot day could have been a factor.

Does what it says
I used these to try and address the very loud sound coming from my server closet. These won't completely eliminate noise, but I used them to pad the inside of my the closet and they did a pretty decent of of deadening the sound. You will still need a solid door if you want to really eliminate sound. The nice part is the self-adhesive aspect. While I wish I could get it in a different color than black, it does the job pretty well.

Great bargain for the price. Does it's job when applied properly.
I had to wait until the weather improved, but I just got this into my car and had a couple of weeks to test it.I garaged my car for about three years, and when I brought it back on the road I admittedly cheaped out on the tires (I work from home and only drive a couple of times a week), so there was a ton of road noise that hadn't been noticeable back when I drove for a living and paid top dollar for long lasting, quiet, tires.I stripped the interior down to the bare metal and gave the car a deep clean (which it needed), then applied the FatMat to the floor pans, firewall, under the rear seat, and wheel wells in the trunk. The tire noise is still there (they're cheap tires after all, so they'll never be completely quiet), but it's dramatically diminished and I don't have to crank up the volume on my stereo to hear at highway speeds. There's a noticeable frequency shift towards the low end of the spectrum, so it doesn't stand out as much, and the butyl rubber dampens vibration inside as well.I have about half of the roll left after covering what I mentioned earlier (2006 Nissan Altima 2.5S), and I'll likely use that for the door panels, and maybe the headliner if there's enough, to decrease the noise even further. I'm very pleased with this matting. The only thing that would have made it better would be to include a foil lining on the interior of the film to help with heat insulation, but that would likely increase the cost, so it's a compromise I can live with.

Easy to apply
Used on the interior roof of a 57 Bel Air prior to installing the headliner. Adhesion was very good and surprisingly easy to work with even as the full sheet. Cuts with a sharp knife or scissors. Kit included a small roller for application. It is a little on the thinner side vs some of the name brand products so depending on application more than one layer may be needed.

Mass produced for a profit :(
This kit arrived and was very disappointingEverything was very sloppy hard to separate.I’m pretty strong and had trouble breaking down the sheetsAlso where was the rest of the instal kit ? Just showed up sloppy and with the sheetsBuy from another vendor or complain to amazon cause this is crap. Ended up tossing 4 inches from each sheet as the adhesive was gone.

Huge difference in my Miata
I have a 2004 Miata, with stock stereo and speakers... and unfortunately, being a convertible, the sound quality I was getting left QUITE a bit to be desired! Basses were hollow, and trebles extremely tinny...I found some great reviews on the Miata owner forums, and thought to give FatMat a try. Wow! What a difference! Top up, or top down, the difference is immense! I can definitely recommend the FatMat for anyone wanting to improve the quality of your car sound system, and help reduce outside noise (yeah, it greatly helped with that too!).
