Great filament, shiny gold!
Great filament. Silk gold is very shiny, albeit a bit on the yellow side for my taste. Even so, it’s strong and easy to print with.

Good quality filament, looks amazing in the sun
Had some issues with adhesion on default settings, thinking I may need to add a bit of heat, but 99% of my prints have turned out just fine, was just some issues with threaded/circular bits. I have done zero tuning for the filament, using default Kobra S1 Silk PLA profile and getting very pretty prints, and seem to be strong too. A little bit of stringing but very minimal, have not dried the filament either, just tossed it from the bag onto the reel. Would buy again. Overture always seems to be good quality. Love the cardboard reels.

Favorite filament brand
Overture never lets me down. This is a perfect gold color for my prints. Never a tangle. Never clogging. Stringing depends on the prints. I do a lot of fine detail prints so stringing is to be expected.

Lovely light brown.
This filament is the brown I used for Grogu's robe; aside from being a nice color on its own, the shade goes very well with the filaments from Sunlu's Meta line (I used "apple green" and "pink" in this print). Overture at its normal price is a bit expensive for me, but on sale it was a great deal.It prints well on my Bambu Lab A1 Mini using Bambu Studio's "generic PLA" profile, though (at least when printing with a .4 mm nozzle at a .16 mm layer height) I had to increase "top Z" distance from .16 mm to .2 mm to make the supports easier to remove. For this print, I supported the robe under the collar and under the raised arm, but I couldn't find a way to support the cuff on the lowered arm in a way that let me remove the support without snapping off his middle finger; I was pleased to find this filament did quite a respectable job on the overhang even so (see pics). To be clear, I did support the fingertips, just not the cuff in front or behind them.I defintely didn't get a ruler, build surface, or opaque bag like some reviewers did; packaging must have changed sometime in the last five years.I really appreciate the thoroughness of the spool sticker in giving not only the recommended printing temperatures, but also the recommended print speed and empty spool weight. Some brands of filament don't list spool weight anywhere, meaning you have to eyeball whether there's enough filament left on a roll to finish a print. Ugh.I also like the fact that the spools are cardboard, since 3d printing creates enough waste already. (Yes, PLA is theoretically recyclable, but you can't recycle it at most municipal recycling facilities.) However, it's my understanding that cardboard doesn't necessarily play nice with certain printers in which the roll rests on a surface rather than being suspended from a bar through its middle; I can't speak to whether the "upgraded reinforced edges" Overture touts fix that issue.

interesting properties
great print quality so farit seems to glow a weird pink color in 365nm uv light. I found that pretty neat but I was hoping it wouldn't shine at all in uv light or shine the same color. I had to switch to 395nm lights and paint over it I wanted. "I used a transparent white/purple mix to shade the espeon and transparent black for umbreon.primer and/or paint didnt stick too well in some places but I'd wager that's on me having no experience with paints.

Strange PLA filament
I've got the Silk Silver PLA and I gotta say this stuff is strange.Pros:- Semi-gloss appearance! Hard to come by as most silk filaments are super reflective, amplifying any surface defects. I wish more semi-gloss filaments are on market.- Light silver color is neat, looks like steel.Cons:- It curls slightly for slender and long prints. PLA prints shouldn't curl at all, period.- Bed adhesion is subpar, esp. for small first layers. You can make it work, but I haven't change PLA settings in a long time as other brands just work.- It's LIGHTER than other PLA filaments in weight? Very strange and prints feel hollower as a result.I have a universal PLA profile for a couple of go-to brands, which I can easily use the same gcode for different color filaments to make the same items. Inconveniently, this weird filament requires me to tweak settings for its own gcode for okay results. I got this for the color but that's about it.

Love this PLA for the price
Love this PLA for this price. Never have had an issue with it and it works great in the Bambu AMS . I like to rip the sides of the spool off and place it in the reusable Bambu spools so it doesn’t get cardboard dust everywhere in the AMS.

DO NOT BUY!!!!
WORST FILAMENT I’VE EVER HAD!!!MANAGES TO FAIL IN EVERY SINGLE WAY! FROM CALIBRATION CUBES TO FIDGETS, THIS COULDN’T PRINT SUCCESSFULLY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! I keep track of wasted filament for each type as a percentage, and this is in 1st by a mile with 20% going to waste.Regradless how much I slow the speed to where a 3D pen would be faster, it still fails. It just doesn’t stick to the bed and warps as well. Also, it needs to be so slow anyways. DO NOT BUY THIS! YOU WILL REGRET IT! THIS IS NOT JUST ANOTHER RANDOM PERSON DOING AN ANGRY REVIEW, I HAVE USED SO MANY FILAMENTS AND THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST. just spend the few extra bucks for a better brand.
