My family has eaten a lot of jerky and meat snacks, so we were pleasantly surprised at the freshness and great flavor in these items. The packaging is fun and the perfect gift for your guy.

I’m a beef jerky fan for sure. I found these different options to be extremely good! I had a very hard time putting them down.

Arrived 7/18/21 fresh and undamaged with a range of best by dates from Jan 2022 - May 2022. This sack is meant to showcase selections solely from Long John Brand. I have now tried a variety of different jerky sacks, and this was by far my least favorite by a landslide. The polarity of product quality in this pack ranges from gosh awful to slightly better then average (with nothing standing out as particularly exceptional in any way.) This sack comes with 3 bags of jerky bites, 3 bags of mini smoked sausages and 3 sausage sticks. Starting out with the worst are the 3 bags of mini craves smoked sausage. I started by trying the original; A pencil is far softer to chew on, this was literally like trying to eat a rock. I would crack off a small piece with a loud distinct snap, and I couldn't bite or chew the small piece till I worked it in my mouth for nearly 5minutes (to which point it wasn't soft but just barely manageable to be chewed.) The hot was equally as rock hard, and while the teriyaki was slightly softer (softer then the other two, still not soft or tender, but chewable immediately at least) but it tasted awful. A considerable improvement over the mini craves were the bags of bites. The original and teriyaki were reasonable to chew and the flavor rather average. The peppered was a little tougher to chew, but rather flavorful. Finally we reach the best part of the sack the smokies sausage sticks. All 3 were soft and easy to chew, and moderately flavorful. While I liked the texture of the teriyaki and it had flavor, I still didn't care for this teriyaki flavor (so universally I have not enjoyed any of there teriyaki flavored snacks.) The hot was flavorful (not strong on a heat scale, but pleasant tasting) as was the honey bbq, and while the flavor was pretty good the ingredient list is a complex nightmare. All of them have dyes, MSG, hydrolyzed soy, sugar and more sugar though they all say 0g added sugar, nitrites, etc.

Every single thing in the pack was the same - rock hard with way too much oil/fat. They aren't stored well, obviously, and the heat of Amazon's warehouses and trucking network have ruined any enjoyment these might have held. The flavors are average at best in intensity. You're better off at your local *Mart getting a great value for cheap snack meat products.Also needlessly gendered Promotion. Why the **** is this "for him?" My wife likes jerky and meat snacks too. This is just stupid "manly" promotional wording for no reason at all.
