My dog has a large under bite and she loves this food as the nuggets are small and she can eat them easily. She won’t eat other dog food. The extra protein helps her keep a little weight on.

[FOOD POISON ALERT] Already contacted Blue Buffalo for medical claims.I have had my Siberian Husky puppy on this particular BB Red Meat Puppy diet for months. This is the fourth bag I have gotten for him. My other adult dog, a 4-year-old pitbull terrier, is also on BB Red Meat diet for adult. We haven’t had any problem in the past.I got this bag of food on May 9th, started feeding it to him from this bag on the 12th. He developed serious diarrhea on Saturday the 14th. We have trusted brand so much that we did not even think it was because of the food. On that Saturday, we were out in the morning. The puppy managed to open his crate and got out. He pooped everywhere. The stool was liquidy, but we didn’t suspect the food. We thought he ate something he was not supposed to eat when we were not around. His diarrhea got worse that night. He pooped in his crate, which he has never done ever. I started feeding him boiled chicken and rice on Sunday the 15th and gave him some pepto-bismol. He started getting better on Monday. His stool was firming up. We were quite relieved.Monday evening for dinner, we switched him back to BB Red Meat dry food. Tuesday afternoon and evening, the diarrhea outbreak was horrifying. His stool was straight dark liquid. It smelled awful. He was losing control of his bowel movement, he not only pooped everywhere – the carpet, the couch, his bed, his outdoor hang out chair, his crate, but was also pooping even when he was laying down, like it just came out without him trying. It was mind boggling for us. One caveat that day is when my husband was scooping food for the pitbull, he accidentally mixed some of the puppy’s food into his bowl. Because they are essentially the same food, and the pitbull has in the past salvaged from puppy’s bowl, we did not think it was a big deal.Tuesday night was a nightmare we would not have wished upon our worst enemy.We were watching TV around 10 o’clock. He suddenly started to run to the door, we knew he needed to go out. As we were getting up, he pooped right there on the carpet by the door, all dark liquid. We immediately took him outside, he pooped some more. He was all hunched over for minutes afterwards, but nothing really came out. Before we went to bed, we took him out again, nothing. We put him in the crate in the bedroom where he usually sleeps. And pitbull was sleeping in his bed in the bedroom too. An hour later, an awful smell of poop woke me up. I turned on the light and looked inside puppy’s crate, nothing. But he was very uncomfortable and refused to lay down. I got off the bed and immediately saw the diarrheic poop outside his crate. I could not wrap my head around it – how could he manage to poop outside his crate?! Either way, I started cleaning the poop. Later on, we found out that was pitbull's, not puppy's. After I cleaned it up, I opened the crate and let him out. As he was walking out of the bedroom towards the door, he started pooping everywhere. It’s not only liquidy but also got mucus in it. We were very upset since it was already 3am, and we spent hours cleaning up after him until 1 am. We washed him since he got poop all over himself and cleaned up, it was already 5am. We put him back in the crate and moved the crate to the bathroom. At 8am the next morning, we woke up to another awful smell of poop just outside the bedroom door. We were very exhausted at that point we did not even think how could that happen since puppy has been inside the bathroom the whole time. I opened the bathroom door, I immediately threw up in the toilet. There was poop everywhere, and all over poor puppy too. He looked very sad and his nose was very red from pushing against his crate trying to get out. I gave him a shower and cleaned up the bathroom. Meantime, my husband took pitbull outside. He had the same diarrhea, same color, same smell. At that point, we know it’s puppy food and stopped giving it to them.We immediately scheduled a vet’s appointment and took the puppy to the vet Wednesday afternoon. The fecal report says that his stool was very bacterial infested. The doctor prescribed some antibiotic and suggested going back to bland rice and chicken feed for a few days. As of when im writing this, Thursday the 19th. He started getting control of his bowel movement. After being on rice/chicken diet for two meals, his stool started to firm up and he is feeling much better.I am very upset because our carpet is completely ruined. Blue Baffulo said they will reimburse us for the vet bill. But this is the worst nightmare of any dog parent. We were so exhausted throughout this process and felt bad for our puppy, since he had done nothing wrong and had to suffer all this.PLEASE be aware that certain batches might be bacteria infested!! I dont know if i can trust them again after what i have been through, but BB had been very reliable in the past. we will see.

She ate this for about a year then got to the point she was not eating much. Switched to SD and she is back to normal eating habits

I started my puppy on a raw diet and after 3 months started to feed him this for his morning feeding and continued with raw for other feeding. After a week noticed that my puppy was stinking. At first thought that he might be rooting but he wasn’t. After 3 weeks I couldn’t stand the odor and stopped feeding him this and switched to Taste of The Wild and in 2 days is odor disappeared. I will never buy this product again!

I used to feed this to my cat when she was alive, and I could count on one hand how many times she ever vomited. She never had health issues. I ordered this dog food for my friend's pit bull puppy who was having all kinds of health issues. He came from a bad home and he kept having troubles one right after another. He kept getting sick with stomach troubles and got an abscess on his leg and his hair started falling out. Severe inbreeding due to a bad home is suspected in his case. Puppies should not have a plethora of health issues right off the bat when they are young and resilient. Ever since he has been eating this food, his health has improved and his hair has stopped falling out. This is one of my number one recommendations for a pet food!

the pups love blue buffalo and their bodies do also but honestly it’s too expensive ; iams is ok at a fraction. when eggs are $7 per dozen the dogfood budget is affected…

My English bulldog has bad allergies and has alopecia on her sides. She already has a hard time eating due to her jaw. But once I started her on Blue Buffalo her hair is growing back and her coat is so shiny now. I would highly recommend.

It was the second time I ordered this, first time was correct, second time showed the picture of what I thought I was ordering, which my fault I went by that. Can't feed it to our dog, and I couldn't return it. Extremely pissed that's just dirty business

This dog food is a wonderful gift from nature. My puppy absolutely devours it. It contains only healthy and natural ingredients. No preservatives, no chemicals, only a load of amazing nutrients for your furry baby. I also like the fact that it is holistic. It is my first try with this brand and I will surely stay with it. Even if the shipping cost is a bit high, the reasonable price for the product, makes it worthwhile and is way less expensive than buying a similar but not comparable product at the pet shop.Thanks to the owners for creating such an innovative, healthy and tasty grub for our furry friends
